This watch is great you can wind it if you don't move your arm enough for the self winding mechanism to keep the watch running, got this for my father who is not active and loves the fact that he can wind the watch. He actually got rid a very expensive automatic watch because he is sedentary and the watch would constantly stop running, I also have a watch from this company and I'm thrilled with that I work constantly and it only take it off to get in the shower I get many compliments and it keeps excellent time
