New Home - saved money!
We bought a new home and it came with a nice fan. The remote was not working with a new battery. When searching for a remote found it but with a new transmitter. Well that would have been my only choice until I came across this exact same one. Only thing missing was the brand logo of the fan. Placed the new battery and IT WORKED!!! So it saved me $60 bucks from buying the other one with transmitter and my time from taking fan apart to change everything out. Not to mention last resort...shop for a new fan. So glad I didn't have to do any of that.

All of the buttons work!
The original one that came with the fan 17 years ago was failing. Do you had to press really hard on the buttons, and the up/down light buttons did not work at all.All in all pretty good lifetime for a 17-year-old remote, but I was lucky to find a new OEM one like this.

Great replacement!
This remote was purchased as a replacement for my Harbor Breeze ceiling fan’s original remote. That thing was a joke. Batteries always came loose, buttons were hard to press. I love that this remote has separate buttons for the up and down light- my old one had only one button for both. I have had no issues with the on/off of either light, nor have I had issues with the dim function. For those of you struggling: to turn your up or down light on or off, press the button one time. To utilize the dim function, hold the corresponding button down. When the light reaches the desired brightness, let go of the button.Simple design, easy to use. Please remember that you should check the dip switch positions. These are located inside the battery compartment of the remote. Compare the position of these switches to those in your previous remote. If any need to be moved, make sure you move them. Otherwise the remote will not work as it should. Great quality product and so happy I can control my ceiling fan and light without issues anymore!

Good remote that replaced a broken wall controller on our Minka Aire fan
This remote control worked great, though I made a few mistakes initially. The only negative (for us) is that the wall mount will hold the remote on the wall, but doesn't really seem designed to allow you to operate the remote while on the wall - it allows for a fair amount of wiggle. You can solve this with a little bit of velcro between the back of the remote and the wall.We have a Minka Aire fan that has a wall mounted push-button controller, which mounts like a regular light switch. The wall controller has a model number of UC-9051T. The wall controller has a ON/OFF switch (in addition to the high, med, low, fan off, rev, and light buttons). Unfortunately the light button has pretty much worn out, and we just stopped using the light. When I initially tried this remote that ON/OFF switch was in the OFF position. According to the wiring diagram on the wall controller, the power comes from the hot circuit, through the wall controller, then to the fan and back. So when that switch is OFF (or if you disconnect one of the wires from the controller, which I also did), there will be no power to the fan and the remote won't work. But once it was all wired up and the switch was in the ON position, the remote worked great. So I just ended up removing the wall controller and connecting the wires so that it would be bypassed and the fan would still get power. And then, a day later I found the original remote that came with the fan. Which had never been used since we bought the fan about 12 years ago, and I had completely forgotten about. Oh well, now we have 2 working remotes!
