I ordered the double mattress during a lightning deal for £295. It is very thick and looks great on our divan bed, makingnit really high.My only piece of advice if you decide to order this mattress - bear with it for a few days as your body adjusts to it. Chances are, you're going to find it uncomfortable at first. Our first night was horrific. We tossed and turned all night and both woke up with excrutiating back pain. At breakfast I actually logged into my Amazon account to get a return set up. Then I googled some more and learned, that it's actually rare to find a mattress that's comfortable on day one. We decided to give it a few days. Our second night was much better with barely any back pain and ever since we have slept like babies. I agree with the reviews saying this mattress is medium/firm. It offers very good support. I'm so happy I didn't end up returning this mattress as I absolutely love it now.

Bought this on a daily deal so really happy with the price. We have only spent 2 nights on it so far and the first night was weird but even by the second night, the comfort and quality are great. We had a Hypnos mattress before and we were so surprised when the Silentnight arrived as it is really deep. We thought that Hypnos beds were chunky, but the Silentnight is really deep and as we have a brass bedstead with sprung base, we almost have to climb into bed! You may find like me that your normal King Size fitted sheets do not cope with the depth of this mattress so bear that in mind. I have moved to 2 flat sheets. Delivery was excellent.

This mattress although comfy and good value is not true to size. It’s short in length and too wide in width and doesn’t sit on the base properly. The mattress also slants to the right when seated. Had already got rid of old mattress so had no option but to keep. The gap at the headboard end means the pillows disappear during the night.It may of been a one off re the size so can’t recommend. It is comfy though and has relieved pressure pain from hips and shoulders.

Should have bought a new Silentnight Mattress years ago! Only when my lower back pain got so bad that it kept waking me up throughout the night and had trouble getting out of bed and had even more trouble and associated pain when going downstairs did I decide that it was time to invist in a new mattress and hoped that it would help with my back pain. I had read feedback for this mattress, impressive I thought, but would it work for me? I looked forward to the delivery date, the 2 men bringing it couldn't have been more helpful, carried it all the way upstairs for me as I was the only person at home at the time and didn't want it to clutter up the hallway. Surprise, surprise, not only did I sleep soundly the first night, I also didn't have any backpain. Wonderful feeling! I have now slept 5 nights on my new mattress and the situation is still the same, sleeping pattern hopefully restored, and on waking up NO PAIN. My old Tempur mattress will now get cut up for cushions and bolsters it's still good for that, as for sleeping on it anymore, no thanks, I am so glad I bought myself a new mattress, I can definitely recommend the Silentnight Stratus Premier 1850 .

Disappointed with the lengthy delivery time, took about 12-14 days as opposed to the 2-3 days stated.Delivered by two people right to our bedroom which is quite fortunate as it weighs 54kg according to the label - will be fun turning & rotating this one! Amazon state doesn't need turning, the instructions it comes with state it does.Only slept one night on it but it is very nice, quite a lot deeper than our previous Sleepezee mattress & firmer but still very comfortable, doesn't sag when you sit on the edge to get in/out of bed either.An absolute bargain when purchased on a Lightning Deal so very happy with purchase.

This is a medium hard mattress with lovely curves on the surface that allow air to circulate under your body while you sleep. It stays very cool but is also warm in the winter due to the wool inside. The 2800 version is very heavy, so not ideal for people who struggle to lift heavy things! It has to be turned regularly and it takes two of us. Nice quality and is staying medium firm after a few months, with two average weight adults use. Delivery is a bit slow, but when it arrives it’s done professionally and taken to the exact location you want it. The packaging is thick and adequate. Very pleased so far.

I am not sure where all the raving reviews come from, as my experience with the Silentnight Stratus 1850 was quite different. First of all it isn't either firm, nor medium-firm as everyone claims, but rather medium-soft if anything. The edges do not hold as most people say, but that frankly is not much of a problem. The real problem is that this mattress sinks in the middle after a couple of nights. I tried to change base, and I even tried to use no base at all, but the result is always the same, the uncomfortable sinking towards the middle of the mattress. I tried also turning it over multiple times, nothing changes. In my opinion you are better off buying a much cheaper spring mattress that will serve you just as well. Lots of hype around this one but really none of it is justified. I got mine during one of the regular sales, bringing the £650+ king size down to £365, but even at the discounted price this is not a good value proposition. If I could go back I would look elsewhere, and I hope this review will help someone else not to make the same mistake. Note I had the mattress for over a month.
