Most quartz watches are accurate to within 15 seconds/month. Precisionist is accurate to within 10 seconds/year.From the Champlain Collection. In titanium with curved crystal, multiple-layer black carbon fiber, gunmetal and charcoal gray dial, continuously sweeping second hand, luminous hands and markers, curved calendar window, 24-hour track, screw-back case, screw-down crown, Cordura ballistic strap and water resistance to 300 meters. Precisionist Technology With Precisionist, Bulova has added a third prong to a standard two prong quartz crystal creating a torsional resonator. The aesthetic movement of the second hand becomes the symbol to the consumer of Bulova Precisionist and signals a watch with accuracy so exceptional, you can see it. The technology is accurate to 10 seconds per year as compared to most other quartz watches, which are accurate to fifteen seconds per month. Summary of Features• Precisionist Movement• Titanium Case• Luminous Hands and Markers• Calendar Window• Cordura Ballistic Strap• Water Resistance to 300 meters/990 ftAbout Bulova In 1875, Joseph Bulova, a 23-year-old immigrant from Bohemia, set up shop in New York City and a legendary American watch brand was born. Since that time, Bulova has stood proudly in the vanguard of timekeeping innovation, committed to the legacy of creativity and excellence established by its founder.A pioneering force in the industry, Bulova transformed how watches were worn and how time was perceived, registering over 50 patents as he and his company built a record of creativity including the first full lines of men’s and ladies’ wristwatches (1919 and 1924). To ensure the utmost in precision, in 1920, Bulova even established its own observatory – located atop its New York skyscraper. With the same spirit of innovation, following World War II, determined “to serve those who served us,” Bulova established The Bulova School of Watchmaking, using new and unique methods to train disabled veterans for positions in the watch and jewelry industry. Then, in 1960, Bulova changed timekeeping forever with the revolutionary Accutron, the world’s first fully electronic watch. An integral component of U.S. space technology, Accutron timing was used on 46 NASA missions, including Apollo XI, the first lunar landing (1969).Today, this dedication to creativity continues, with Bulova the only brand to offer three distinct timekeeping technologies – quartz, mechanical and Precisionist. One of the world’s most recognized brands, Bulova continues to maintain its position at the forefront of the timekeeping industry, upholding an extraordinary heritage of achievement in design, style and technology as it expands to meet the needs of a diverse global audience.

Fogging issues on two watches!
I bought the first one and it looked to be factory new as there was the clear plastic over the face of the watch and a cardboard tab under the knob. I got it running and the watch fogged up when walking from the air conditioned house or car to outside. I never submerged it under water, it would stay fogged up for an hour or so and then sort of clear up. I returned it and replaced with the same, this watch however, did not have any plastic on the face of the watch, no cardboard tab, and the watch was already running. That screamed refurbished to me, regardless, this watch as well fogged up. Not impressed with this model. I ended up going with 96B175 and before even wearing, I did actually submerge this watch in a large stainless bowl of water filled with a tub of ice cubes and water. I left it set for just over 30 hours. No fogging, everything is fine.

One of my favorite casual watches
This watch is big (as is the current style). In compensation, the crystal is actually slightly curved to conform to your wrist. The band is casual, and very comfortable. The watch is well crafted and sharp looking. Accurate to 10 seconds a year. The sweep second hand is very unusual for a wrist watch. Fun to just watch it work. Very readable.

Worked Less Time Than The Battery. Sent for Repair SEVEN MONTHS AGO / Still NOT REPAIRED
Absolutely beautiful watch. Unfortunately the hour hand stopped advancing past the one o'clock hour. Sent back to Bulova/Citizen/Harley Davidson/Alpina......etc... Seven months ago and just a note from them that repair items are back ordered (FIVE months later. I thought the watch was lost in the mail). Pretty weak. Expensive watch with very cheap service. I'm a Bulova guy but no any longer.

Bad Quality
This watch does not keep time after just 6 months, but the precisionist is supposed to be the best. I replaced the battery twice in 8 months and it still does not keep time. Do not buy this watch from Beauty Garden as they sell poor quality!! If I had received a reply to my request for exchange, replacement, or return, I might have been able to provide a different review for this seller. Due to the lack of reply, I'd question any other high dollar item as well. If there was an option for "no" stars that would be checked. I have to junk this watch, eventhough my family member has not had a single problem with an identical watch purchased from a mall retailer.

Behold but dont flaunt it
Sweeping second hand, carbon fibre backing, Kevlar band, 100% Titanium body and the name: Bulova.I love this watch, it is probably the second most expensive in my collection. I wear it to work as Director of Operations....at an AUTO REPAIR SHOP. It is so durable and well made that I cannot stress enough the quality. It is a good size but does not "extend" beyond your wrist circumfrance. (I am 170 lb guy) So...its not huge but it is bigger than a "normal" sports watch.I purchased this because I wanted to have a very high quality watch that I NEVER take off....ever. I wanted something (to be honest) that was prestigious and classy while not being pretentious. Sure I could say: Look at my Kevlar band, This keeps time within 10 seconds/yr, not 15, The case is pure Titanium....BLAH BLAH.These are the facts I know and why I love the watch. This is no "Shark Freestyle" (which I sported into my 20's)MFG warranty is 3 years. This is another reason that it rocks.Sorry for the typo's. Amazon please add spell check to reviews.

Nice watch... big and shiny.
I got this watch just because I got curious and wanted to give it a shot. When I ordered it, I knew I that most probably I was going to return it but still I got surprised by the built-quality of the watch. It's solid, a bigger watch; not just the diameter but also the thickness. I ended up almost keeping it for casual use but then my wife kept telling me it looks too big for my wrist. I ended up returning it but for someone with a larger wrist, I would say its a descent casual watch that looks sharp and more expensive than what it actually is.

Great looking watch I LOVE the style and the band
Great looking watch I LOVE the style and the band, I've gotten so many compliments. But I'm one of those people who over obsess about things at times. I expected the Precisionist to be just that...precise. The watch goes fast, maybe about 30 seconds in between day lights savings and all. I HATE that.I'm going to keep the watch regardless as I love the styling and I don't think even if I had gotten a replacement that it would be as precise as they say, but still upset about their so called claim.

Watch Is Too Fast
I've owned several Citizen watches, and I needed to replace the previous one that broke its crystal when dropped. I decided to give this watch a try. I have now owned and used this watch for a little over one month. When I received the watch, I set it to the correct time. A little over one month, this watch is the only time piece that I own showing the incorrect time. It is now four minutes too fast. Mine is not accurate at all.Secondly, this watch is useless in darkness. My Citizen watches had hands and time markers that glowed in the dark. This watch does not, so you must have light to tell time. Finally, the band is starting to fray in the short time I have owned this. Hair-like threads are starting to separate from the band.I am not at all impressed with this wrist watch.

but still is very comfortable to wear
my *Star* appreciation for this watch should be 4.5 and not 5.0.this make and model is all i've wanted in a watch, the only exceptionbeing the kevlar strap that's a little too big for my 6.5 inch arm;but still is very comfortable to wear. it should fit well anyone whosearm is 6.75" or more.

Excellent Watch
This is a very good quality watch that seems to keep time extremely well so far. The titanium case makes it very light despite it's size. Note that the strap is fabric (feels like Cordura) and not rubber as stated here on Amazon.

The sweeping hand is really cool. The watch is not too busy
Really gorgeous watch! The sweeping hand is really cool. The watch is not too busy, just the right amount and a very clean look. Love the carbon fiber and the hints of blue. Very solid build quality
