I haven't actually used these but they are full length strings so they can be used on a regular guitar. I ended up ordering some custom gauge strings to fit my needs and used string tension charts available from D'Addario and others which is a good starting point.

I ordered 9 sets of these strings for a new guitar I built. I received 8 sets, one set short of what I ordered. The A string broke while stringing in the first three sets I opened, thus I was unable to try the guitar using these strings. I am not planning to open the other five sets, but am returning them all.
