A must have for anyone with sensitive or weak teeth!
I have a dental implant in one of my front teeth and I can’t wear regular mouthguards without comprising the implant. I am also a chronic teeth grinder. These solve both problems. I have a bad gag reflex and they don’t bug me to have in my mouth at all and I sleep great. There’s no weird plastic taste or irritation. They’re easy to use - can be used with the front piece against your top or bottom teeth which is helpful when deciding which shape works best for your comfort. I use them two nights in a row before I move on to the next one so they last a while - great value because I also find that once I break the grinding cycle I can go a few nights without them.

Only night guard I will use after years of discomfort from others
I have bought a few night guards from the dentist, which are costly. They always end up being too thick and leave me feeling a headache the next day. I found these and had them in my cart before my first purchase for quite sometime, the shape threw me off. Finally tried them and now they are the only ones I use. Clean them every morning and reuse so the entire box lasts me about a month or more. Have come back time and time again to re purchase for the past year.

FINALLY Able to keep a bite guard in all night!
RE: Plackers Grind No More Night Guard, Nighttime Protection for Teeth, BPA FreeUPDATE MAR 2024: Reduced from 5 to 4 stars. These are still the only ones that work for me, except I'm finding with new batch, SOMETIMES I have to take them out within 20 min because I start having an asthma cough. The previous batches did not do this. THEN I came on here and saw someone mention their latest had intense chemical smell. Mine don't have the smell, but something about them is suddenly triggering asthma cough. SO sad, because these are the only that worked and now I can't use or trust getting them.I can't say for SURE that these are the cause, because they don't always trigger the asthma cough, but weird it coincides so quickly with putting them on when it does. After a few days of prednisone it stopped, so maybe my asthma is extra sensitive right now, but I do hope the company acknowledges the necessity for these to be non-allergenic for everyone.-------------------------------------ORIGINAL 5 star review:I've been through every type of guard, and here we have the simplest piece of all, no "fitting to teeth," and yet FINALLY something I can use.Apparently I have extreme clenching/grinding at night (like so many of us now), but it has recently resulted in some crazy bad symptoms that almost cause some unnecessary dental work thinking I had a dying or exposed nerve. Turns out 2 things were actually going on: TMJ from all the clenching, and some serious seeming nerve pain (any temp liquids would cause a flash of horrible pain on one side). The latter, (upon insisting on seeing my regular dentist again before an endodontist the office was sending me to), ended up being a month-old POPCORN KERNAL jammed way up into gums that no amount of flossing removed. LIKE I SAID it was in the first place, but nothing was found because pain was referring to the bottom side when it was upper. So that horrific pain was gone but the milder TMJ pain and my usual sensitive teeth as a result of that and years of brushing too hard, remained. In addition to specifically using Pronamel REPAIR (NON-whitening) after a lot of research, I knew I had to make the bite guard thing work. In the past I had one from the dentist, but couldn't keep it in, stopped, then lost it. This time I bought 2 from Dentek, a full one and a partial one, both that mold to your teeth. That would be a great option for anyone who IS able to keep them in all night, but I just couldn't, and instead of longer each night it got shorter and I wasn't getting sleep. Finally, scrolling through here for more options I saw these. My first thought was "Yikes, I'd probably swallow it (my fear) since it's so small." Then I looked at a pic that someone posted and saw that, on these, the hoop part actually goes above your front teeth! I immediately ordered a 16 pack because I knew that this would work for me, because in addition to the hoop holding it from the front, it just had 2 little rectangles that sit between those back teeth, stopping them from making contact with each other.Happy to report it stayed in ALL NIGHT, and I am one of those people terrified of anything getting stuck in my throat. That front hoop stops that from happening and it goes even higher up above the front teeth than the pic showed. This is the bite guard you will least feel than any of them. I would never believe I could keep one in all night. I might even occasionally wear one during the day when I'm feeling stressed and ornery about something. It isn't going to solve the sensitivity due to worn enamel or TMJ in just a few uses, but I certainly feel better and on the right path.In the morning I put it in a little cup of Listerine antiseptic mouthwash to clean it. It looks like they say each one can be used "up to 48 times," so if you get a month to a month & a half out of each one, that's an added bonus!Obviously if you have some complicated teeth or jaw issue that requires a custom fit by your dentist to accomplish other things for some reason, use that. But if you're having problems grinding and can't abide normal guards, don't be me and wait until you're "scared straight" and HAVE to do it.Whether you KNOW you're grinding or clenching or not, believe me, your dentists WILL know, you may have to ASK him. Mine originally asked me if I was clenching and I said "not that I know of," and he sounded flustered and said "you're clenching like there's no tomorrow!" I then started paying attention and realized I was even doing it during the day and had to be more cognizant of relaxing the jaw. So they may not tell you, ask if there are indications.Thank you Plackers! I always love your floss pics and now these bite guards are an option for those of us who feel like there are no options. PLEASE never stop making these, it is the only thing like it out there, and people are going to need them now more than ever in these stressful times.

I was a skeptic, but now am a believer
I was a skeptic, for sure. I recently developed jaw pain as a result of either grinding or clenching. Bought these based on the reviews and videos as they looked like the simplest solution. Put one in my mouth and my brain said "no way is this going to work". But I told myself "try it for one night". I didn't think I as going to be able to fall asleep because my mouth wouldn't close all the way. But I fell asleep and woke up without any jaw pain. Night after night I put it in, fall asleep, no jaw pain. Highly recommend. Might not be ideal for heavy grinders....but I think since I was just clenching, it did the trick. Every now and then in the middle of the night I can feel my jaw tense up, hit the rubber, and release....

Hygienic and doesn’t cause gagging
I’ve used the moldable mouth guards in the past but found them to be unpleasant to use due to gagging and hygiene issues from reusing. I’m glad I gave these a try. I love how they don’t have to be molded. They are slim so they don't cause me to gag. And since you only wear them for a few days before tossing, hygiene is less of an issue. Once I put them in they don’t move while sleeping (something I was concerned about). The downside is that they are plastic (so I’m probably swallowing microplastic) and the waste that’s created from throwing them out.

Great for teeth clencher but maybe not for someone who grinds heavily
I have teeth clenching and this works very well. My dentist molded a guard for me but it is uncomfortable and I'm reluctant to wear it. This is much thinner, lighter and more comfortable that I feel not bothered to wear. It stays in place overnight for me, but for someone who grinds heavily, I can imagine this may move around in the mouth because it is thin and light.

Let's Talk About Price, Cost and Value.....
LET'S TALK:I've bought these Plackers guards for years on Amazon because they're a great product that does an amazing job of protecting my teeth from grinding at night. That being said, I will no longer be buying this product on Amazon. Looking at my order history and invoice details, Amazon has jacked the price up and down over the years and I cannot ignore it anymore. The consumer cost doubling while the quantity goes from a 16 count to a 10 count is greedy price gouging. And I'm not rich enough to not feel the pinch of that price.
