CURT Manufacturing 45270 Class III 2" Ball Mount

I own these extended versions in a 3/4 rise, 2" rise and 4" rise. All are built well and do the job. The first two are used with Curt Rocker Balls, the 3rd a standard 2" ball. I also own a Curt hitch which has been great over the last 4 years. All in all I'm very happy with the brand, durability and affordability of their products.

Needed a hitch that would allow my utility trailer jack to clear my tailgate. This was the one for my f-150!

The extended length is a must if you have a vehicle equipped with a spare tire hanging above the rear bumper. It moves the trailer hitch back and clears the tire. Also useful for pickups. When using a regular length receiver on a pickup, when lowering the tailgate it would hit the trailer jack handle if not careful.

I bought and am using this in the inverted position for my 2025 Polaris NorthStar Crew 1000 to pull my utility trailer and boats. It is the perfect height.

This is working great for me, my utility trailer's jack would hit my tailgate before this ball mount, with this ball mount I have the clearance I need to open the gate with the utility trailer attached. It is more than heavy duty enough for my trailer's loads, I like that kind of overkill when towing. The only drawback is it makes my truck too long for my small garage so I have to remember to take it out so I can close the garage door. My garage door has had to remind me of this fact a few times after some long tiring days. I paired it with a Reese Towpower black nickel carbon ball. After a thousand miles I have no complaints with either product.

Good, stout and well-built ball Mount. Welds look very good. Came with some small nicks and scuffs, but nothing affecting function. Product measures accurately at 13" of length. Drop on mine is slightly less than the listed 4", and was measured at or just slightly under 3.7". I have not used this ball mount yet...but based upon it's sturdy appearance, I trust it will provide the reliable performance I have come to rely upon from Curt.

Well made with great fit and finish. Very happy.

Works well for 6th Gen Ford Bronco which has spare tire on the tailgate. I wanted a slightly longer tow bar. I've also got the "Sasquatch" package which is about 2" lift over base and needed some drop to level the trailer. This is a good fit for the 6th gen sasquatch ford broncos.

Works as expected and moves the trailer away from the back of my truck so the tail gate does not hit the post jack.
