WikkiStix WKX809 Super Wikki Stix, 3' Long, Pack of 48 (Limited Edition)

The only thing cooler than Wikki Stix... are SUPER Wikki Stix!This package includes dozens of colorful wax-covered "sticks", each measuring three feet long! By comparison, the "regular" Wikki Stix measure about a foot long each.The sticks (actually stiff, wax-covered strings) are easy to bend and mold, and will stick to one another. Children ages 2 1/2 to 5 will play with them enthusiastically, but are somewhat limited in their ability to visualize and construct in a 3-dimensional manner.Slightly older kids (kindergarten and beyond) will use them to sculpt animals and characters, create jewelry, and more. Preteens and teens are magnetically drawn to them, as well, despite their best efforts to act indifferent. These would even be fun to liven up adult workshops and meetings. I've used them in many different settings, and have never met anyone who did not enjoy playing with Wikki Stix.Wikki Stix are quiet, pleasant smelling and practically mess-free, though they can leave slight waxy smudges on tabletops and other hard surfaces. The sticks can be resused over and over again, as long as they are treated fairly gently. They do not dry out, but can pick up lint and dust if dropped on the floor.These come packed in a sturdy, capped tube that makes an attractive gift and can be used to store the product.

These worked really well for a classroom activity where I needed students to "connect" items in one column with items in another. I had the items on the wall and these wikki stix were simply pressed against the wall making lines connecting the items to one another. I had been told not to put tape or anything like that on these particular classroom walls, so I was looking for a solution when I found these super wikkis. I ended up using specialized painter's tape to hold the "items" on the walls. That tape was so weak that I had to constantly keep re-applying more take throughout the activity. But the wikki stix stayed up! They were still up the next morning.

The long length of these makes it easier to make stronger toys. My kids have been having a blast playing with these, as well as the shorter length ones. They encourage artistic creativity. Certainly worth the money in my opinion and I was happy to see that they are made in the USA!

These crazy things are so much fun! I bought them for my students and we are finding so many ways to enjoy them. Just take the time to separate them carefully when you first take them out. I had "help" and it was hard to get them untangled.

Best bargain price/size for this item. Keep these on hand for kindergarten/ grade school homework projects. This will save you a rushed trip to the store when the project comes up. They can be cut to a shorter size as needed.

I used these to teach transversals and triangle-angle relationships. The students worked in pairs with cut up Stix and protractors while I stuck some of these on a whiteboard surface and measured with my own protractor. The Stix worked really well, and the students liked learning the material with this hands-on approach.

Bought these as a last minute stocking stuffer for our kids, and they turned out to be a big hit. Our kids have focused so far on making 2D items on paper, but are excited to try some of the 3D designs on the manufacture website. I like that these do not require glue or any other supplies. Plus they aren’t messy, so no clean up involved after use!

WikkiStix are so awesome! I lead the craft for my daughter’s girl scout troop and we used these to make little rainbow SWAPS. They came out really cute!
