size 10-15% smaller than my older Samsonite roll-on
First off, I am a frequent world traveler with my older version of this roller bag. It's gone from the Antarctica to the Arctic to Canada to Alaska and finally to Colombia, South Amer. just this year. My roller bag is critical to me because I rarely check bags, for many obvious reasons. The old roller Samsonite bag still works, but I thought that because it's simply "old" that maybe it was time to get the new version. To see "frequent returns" of the new bag feels very unfair: I ordered the new bag and it is definitely an improvement from the old one in a number of areas-primarily in adding more zip compartments (it is also a beautifully designed and very lightweight bag. So, my only gripe is that it's SMALLER by maybe 10-15% compared to my current Samsonite roller bag. Every inch matters to me. But, that said, if you are traveling in Europe and in other areas you may find that the smaller size will get you into the plane wherein the larger bag will be rejected as a carry on. Again, I totally recommend this bag, just recognize that it is smaller than the older model by maybe 10-15% percent. this is admittedly a beautiful, well crafted, and light roll-on luggage for carry on to planes. That said I returned it, because my current, older Samsonite roller bag has a noticeably bigger interior space. I believe that Samsonite is paying attention to so many airlines that are becoming notoriously tight in which bags they accept, and especially, smaller airlines in Europe now make it very difficult to get luggage onboard. But, so far, my current Samsonite roller bag (the same. but older version of this bag), is working for me. I would have kept this bag but for it's decreased size, so I reluctantly returned it. By the way, I never buy hard shell bags because they are much more difficult to get into overhead bins and have less flexibility when stuffing items, also they are heavier :).

It rolls like a dream. Great quality and built good. I wish they had one like this but a 22 inch. In between the 20 and 25. I had sn old one I loved dissappear. This one holds a lot! Service was great on this!!

Spectacular but Too Small
I've had this same bag for 15 years and the wheel and handle just broke off. It's been around the world with me 23 times. Bought this new bag as a replacement and it's incredibly durable (Same model, features, wheels, zippers, soft shell, etc.) BUT... was marketed as a 22-inch bag and when it arrived was only 20 inches tall with an interior of 19 inches. I use it for my laptop and this was literally a couple of inches too small for my needs. I sent it back and bought the bigger version. NOTE: CHECK the specs on the listing pages. If the 22-inch is unavailable, you will be re-routed to the "next available" bag and may purchase the smaller bag without knowing it. This bag though, will take a beating and last for years.

Very little packing space!
Pros: This case has great wheels--it's easily manueverable and fits nicely in the overhead bins, even on a small commuter plane where others with carry-ons had to gate check. I needed something lightweight that I could easily lift over my head into the bin, and this checks that box nicely. Construction seems solid for a lightweight case as well.Cons: VERY small packing space--not that much more than my laptop bag, actually. The pockets are not very well-designed either (they don't run the full width of the lid), further limiting what you can pack. The wheels are on a "stalk" that protrudes down from the bottom of the case, taking up space that could have otherwise been used for case interior. If I had been able to see this product in person before I purchased, I likely would not have bought it due to the extremely small size. Unfortunately, the day after the case arrived, I had to use the bag for an unplanned, emergency trip, so now I can't return it.UPDATE: I used this bag for a 6 day vacation this summer. Using packing cubes and tightly rolling clothes, I was able to fit in: 3 pr pants, 6 t-shirts, 1 pr. flannel pj bottoms, 1 pr lightweight cotton pj bottoms, a pj top, a lightweight sweater, a pair of Chaco sandals, underwear and all my toiletries. Had everything I needed and never did laundry. Was very pleased with the bag’s performance, so I’m upping my review a by a star. I stick by my earlier assessment: this is one of the smallest “full size” carry-ones I’ve come across and the lid pockets are not the best design. But if you’re primarily looking for lightweight and maneuverability, you’ll probably be happy with this bag. It rolls extremely well.

Good idea but poor execution and terrible customer service
I spent considerable money on a new piece of luggage and was excited for some of its features. Sadly, the primary feature that needs to work - namely the telescoping handle - does not work. When the bag is empty, the handle works beautifully. When the bag is full, it does not! Unfortunately, I didn’t learn this until after Amazon’s 30-day return policy expired. Apparently, it doesn’t matter if a product is defective. Amazon directed me to Samsonite’s warranty and Sansonite website as my only remedy. Samsonite’s options are worthless. I have to pay to deliver the luggage to them or deliver my luggage to them myself (time, gas, wear and tear on my car) to inspect it. It doesn’t matter that I’ve only owned the bag for 3 months. They may or may not be able to repair it. Since the handle works when the bag is empty, I doubt the repair man will identify a problem. I would then need to pay to have my luggage returned to me or pick it up myself. So, after using a bag three times in 3 months, the handle has never worked correctly and is inoperable when the bag is at capacity. My only resolution is to throw good money after bad in the hopes someone will make it right. I’m not optimistic. Costco would take a defective product back, and it wouldn’t cost me money or effort to do it. I will never buy luggage from Amazon again, and I will never buy Samsonite again. They clearly have lost the idea of quality and don’t understand how a warranty is meant to protect its users from defects.
