Does this kit come with any kind of storage case ?

Everything is in a clear soft plastic case EXCEPT the screen puller. I think you, too, will find the most useful tool is that screen puller. It makes short work of opening up a cellphone case.

Will this work for replacing the back of an iPhone XR?

Short answer, yes I believe you can. From my own experience, Apple use the similar size screws in all this devices, they just change the organization inside. This kit or set of tools contains everything you need to replace battery, screen, or the housing. I’ve done all that in three different iPhone models (6, 6s, 7) multiple times with just this kit. I don’t think changing the housing of the iPhone XR would be any different. Might be easier than those smaller iPhones actually.

Can i used this opening kit to fix my iphone 8 and ipad 4?

Yes this kit work’s for both the iPhone and the iPad.

Is this toolskit suitable for replacing the iphone 8 plus screen?

Yes. It should do what you need for that iPhone. I used it on a smaller device, but it should not make any difference.
