This is an amazing whisky, good value for the money

Need a splash of water
Sherry influences (syrupy oak) come through massively but at the price point (£90) feels unrefined to me. It's quite complex though, with fudge and winter spice coming through.Drunk neat, the aftertaste is harsh and likened to cheap cough medicine.A splash of water loosens things up (and should always be tried on cask strength whiskies IMHO) and takes some of the edge off the aftertaste too. Still for the money there are much better options... like a Glendronach 18, for example.

I didn't make notes on it but I remember it being very chewy :)A splash of water perhaps but very drinkable neat.

Balvenie Single Barrel 15 Year Old Single Malt 65th Birthday Present!
This Balvenie 15 year old single malt whisky was a present for our very good friend and he was delighted to receive it as it happens to be his favourite whisky. He has had a wee dram every night since and has thoroughly enjoyed it. A top brand with a top taste, simply the best!

Aroma: Eichenwürzigkeit (feine Holzessignote) und Zimt, gefolgt von Sherry-Aromen, Nüssen, Rosinen und OrangenGeschmack: Zunächst Eiche, verbunden mit etwas scharfer Würzigkeit; übergehend zu Kakao und Kaffee; am Ende etwas bittere Orange ...Abgang: Anhaltend, leicht trockene EichenwürzigkeitKommentar:Sehr komplex; intensive Eichenwürzigkeit, verbunden mit schweren Frucht-, Kakao- und Kaffee-Aromen.Sein Preis mehr als Wert!!!

旨いです。
親父が好きなので買いました。とても華やかな味わいのウイスキーです。ストレートでも良いけれど、お勧めはロックです。氷が溶けかけるとまた違う味わいがあります。お勧めします。

Het is NIET de fles die afgebeeld is maar een Sherry Cask!!!!
De titel zegt alles lijkt me, onnodige verzendkosten voor het retourneren.Erg vervelend en tijdintensief

Bild passt nicht
Preis ist gut, aber leider ist auf dem Bild die Bourbon Cask Version abgebildet. War etwas irreführend, aber der Sherry Cask ist auch Spitze.

Super Whisky - klare Kaufempfehlung - Sherry Cask Version wird geliefert
Der Whisky unterscheidet sich natürlich ein wenig von Cask zu Cask. Bisher habe ich aber nur außerordentlich gute Abfüllungen von dem Balvenie 15 Single Barrel erhalten. Daher: klare Kaufempfehlung.Eine Besonderheit: bis 3/2019 war hier ein falsches Foto zu sehen, welches eine Bourbon Barrel Reifung vermuten ließ. Geliefert wurde jedoch schon immer die - aus meiner Sicht auch bessere - Sherryfassabfüllung, welche jetzt auch richtig abgebildet ist. Deswegen hier jedoch eine schlechte Bewertung des Whiskys vorzunehmen, erscheint nicht zielführend zu sein.
