Deuter Speed Lite 15 Backpack

The bag is a perfect size for me. 5'5 about 115 lbs. it fits a sweater, my Nalgene 1.5 L bottle, wallet, keys, and a few extra snacks. I like that the top pocket can hold more than the usual small pockets. The waist strap is a little flimsy but I don't find myself putting more than 15 lbs of stuff in the bag to need that back support. When it's on, it doesn't even feel like I have a backpack on. Love the color too. A good deep blue. Bright enough but not too bright. Great buy! But... only reason why I give it 1 less star was cuz I bought it a bit pricier than at other places... I wish I got a better financial deal!

I have not had it on the trail yet. I bought this as a loaner Day Pack for our younger Boy Scouts who use school book bags because they do not have real outdoor gear yet. Deuter packs are well designed and well made. I do have a Speed Lite 20, also. There is enough adjustability in the placement of the pack to accommodate most growth in teenage kids. I say 'most'!

Ok, when I wear this it sites on my back like a regular backpack. I have not sweated so much until I used this backpack. The construction seems to be good and if I had to bring just a couple things less tow work it's be perfect.

I just love this backpack and ordered a second one for a friend who liked mine so much.I use it everyday to walk to work. It's very light and one can easily fit a pair of shoes in it, lunch etc. it's ideal for day trips. I washed it the other day. I just used soap and water as suggested (do not put in the washing machine) and this worked perfectly.The blue color is nice and it has a good snug fit and is not bulky at all.The backpack looks small from the outside but there is enough room for a big water bottle, a towel or shoes and a lunch box. It's however too small for folders or a laptop, iPad would work though.

Gave this to an avid cyclist, she loved it, just what she wanted to take on the bike with her to carry clothing and water....appeared to be well-made and the color (blue) was bright, many compartments....

I bought this bag primarily to commute to and from work with, so that I have a decent bag to jog with on days that I might want to do so.This bag is INSANELY light, and even packed with everything that I bring to and from work, I barely feel it on my back.I can fit 3 sets of keys, my wallet, and my phone in the small upper pocket; 2 bottles of water/juice/etc in the mesh side pockets; and in the main pocket, I have managed to pack my work clothes when I changed into my jogging shorts/top (dress pants, short sleeve, and bra), along with a Medela 4-bottle cooler pack and Ameda Pump Kit, a kindle, and my ipod.I haven't had this bag out in any rain harder than a sprinkle yet, so I can't attest to how leak proof it is, although I do know that the condensation from my water bottle doesn't appear to leak through the bag. I have read reviews from other sites indicating that the Speed Lites aren't terribly rain resistent, so if you plan to jog in the rain frequently you may want to invest in a rainproof cover for your bag.

Great backpack. Light, very comfortable and nice looking. Just wish it had compartments inside.

A great day pack, but I've also managed an overnight living out of it!
