*Update 4/1/19* (originally 2 stars; now 4 stars) The seller, unsolicited, sent me a package of updated test strips. Two improvements. One, the waiting time is specified for the readings--one group is 5 seconds; the other 30 seconds. Two. The readings seem to be more in line with the more tedious and time consuming T100 drop tests. Still, I would only consider these, as with test strips generally, a quick indicator and notice that full drop tests should probably be done--at least for those categories indicating a problem.I've used another brand of test strips with 5 tests. It was reasonably accurate when compared against a T-100 test kit. This one is not so great. At best, a really out of whack result might convince you to drag out the beakers and drops to see what's really going on. Chlorine: I run chlorine a bit low, as I also have ozone and UV treatment, but what shows on these strips was at first a little scary--at least until I confirmed the strips were wrong. pH: this seems accurate, or at least matches my formal tests. Total alkalinity also seems reasonable and verifiable. CYA is simply difficult to distinguish the color differences. Finally Total Hardness seems to be a test for water from some other planet, as my results are never even similar to any of the colors on the chart, so this one is useless. Bottom line is that I won't buy these again.

I have used theses test strips quite a lot here lately. It has been a rainy start to the summer. I am always checking my chemicals. Theses strips are easy to read and the price of them is by far worth it. The accuracy seems to be right on. I compared it to some old strips I has left over from last year and they both pretty much are the same when it comes to the chemical balance. Great product. I will be getting more.

I wish these would have worked because the company took the time to seal them in a small amount inside the container. Which I thought was a great idea. Keep them fresher longer.But .. There is very little space to hold on to the test strip. And I have small fingers..And the "Total hardness" was the wrong color family.Showed a dark green tone with a very little dot of purple in the center. It should be blue to purple tones. It did not match the color chart colors and therefore I was not able to compare to the chart.The service was great. I got a replacement sent but had the same problem. And returned them.Up Date Review April 5 2019Excellent customer service. They take the time to make sure you are happy with the product and listen to concerns. I had returned the product and got a refund with Amazon No trouble. But Dmight still reached out to me and asked if they could send me a sample of there improved test stripes. A few weeks later they arrived. The New container is all black with an orange and blue label. Test strips now come in a taller sealed container. The strips are longer now and easy to hold while you test the water. The color match problem has been corrected. I compared them several times to a different company's water test strips and they were the same reading on both. The PH colors are a bit hard to tell (7.6 8.2 and 9.) apart. But I have trouble reading the PH with all the different company's test strips. The color difference is just a bit too subtle. Overall I recommend Dmight. Great company to work with. They stand behind there product.

I previously had Insta Test 3 strips with that came with my hot tub. I felt they were really great. The colors aligned very well with the range on the bottle and the water and color didn't bleed between strips.Unfortunately, Amazon bubbled these DMight strips to the top of the list and I bought them. To the garbage they go.... The strip seems like plastic so the water from one region quickly went from one area to another distorting the colors. I tried many times being very careful and even without water spreading between the regions colors were hard for me to line up with the picture on the bottle.So back I go back to Amazon and search for what I know works... Insta Test from LaMatte....I even found they have them with 4 or 5 categories. Since I was interested in hardness I just ordered the Test 4 Strips.REALLY... I just threw out the DMIGHT strips... Useless to me.... Waste of time and money.

I don't review often but felt compelled to warn others. These test strips are terrible. Color indicators are no where near close to actuals. I use several test different strips and digital PH meter to insure accuracy, however the these strips are comically off. Truly not worth the money.Updated: Product did not work for me, however the vendor was quick to reach out and apologize for the faulty experience. They credited the my account and will be sending fresh test strips. Let's see how round two works. Updated rating is for customer service - not product.

I have had a freshwater in-ground pool for 20 years, and I have always used higher priced strips from another prominent manufacturer, but I thought I would try something different to save a little money, so I tried these strips. Personally, I found these strips a little difficult to use because the chlorine level color gradations are very subtle which makes these strips more of a challenge to read than they would be otherwise. Sometimes the little square chlorine measurement color tab was half white and half medium pink, which equates to an unknown result. Also, CYA measurements were consistently below my other strips (reading close to zero), which I know was inaccurate because the pool was holding chlorine with no problem.I figured I perhaps had a defective batch in light of all the other positive reviews for this product, and the vendor immediately gave me a full refund with no questions asked, which was truly great service.So my review is really three stars for the product due to the results I experienced, which may well be an outlier opinion, plus one additional star for outstanding customer service. Conclusion: You can't lose by trying these strips.
