Nothing like oem products
It worked as it should, the one I replaced was not showing any obvious signs of being bad, the reason why it malfunctioned it was because the breaker was shortened, so I think the broken breaker caused the module to malfunction. It’s working perfectly now good product.

HD46AE224 X13 Replacement Blower Motor Controller Saves the Day! Save the cost of a $650 Motor/controller assembly !
HD46AE224 X13 Blower Motor Controller. The blower motor on my ICP Day and Night 13 SEER PGD336060K001C1 Started cycling on and off during the run cycle. On for 30-45 seconds, off for 5 seconds. The unit had been installed for 2-1/2 years, total run time approximately 11 months. Unit was only run for short time ( if at all ) for heat, 3 months in the summer during the Monsoon season. I live in Phoenix, AZ and run a Mastercool evaporative cooler from March to July, September to October. The unit was mfg. in July of 2010, and from my research this is a common failure at the 2 year point. The motor mfg. Regal Beloit genteq had a recall on units made in 2012. Repair estimate from the HVAC service tech was $900-$1200. I found the motor with controller online the cheapest price $440 plus shipping. On my unit it was fairly simple to pull the blower housing to gain access to the motor. The controller could be removed without disturbing the motor mount. Be wary of any capacitors ( shock hazard ) and wire positions of the harness. Swap the controller, install the blower unit, hook up the wires, button up the cabinet, energize the unit and you are good to go! Note: Be sure to test the motor windings for short to ground, and that the shaft spins freely. If your motor is burned out or the bearings are bad, you will need a whole new assembly. Chances are good if the motor is trying to start, or runs and turns off and on, the controller alone is bad.Hopefully the new unit is made with better quality construction than the original so I wont have a repeat failure. There was no reason for a unit with such a short duty cycle to have failed in the first place. The X13 motors were used in high efficiency HVAC systems since 2006. Most brands of HVAC units use this type of motor, the computer controls the electrical usage of the motor for the lowest possible energy cost, at the expense of durability and reliability. The identification sticker on the motor will have a number " cust. product number" that will indicate which X13 motor controller that you need. You must match the controller that was installed by the OEM for the unit to function properly, the controller is programmed for each application, and is not "universal" , however, there is a common usage over each "range" of motor sizes so chances are good you will be able to find a matching controller unit. Good Luck!!I purchased the controller from the same supplier, NorthAmerica HVAC off the E auction site for $220, 2-day priority mail shipping inc.
