Easy to use. Lasts for hours.
I never used face paint before. I tried - with stuff I bought from the drug store - but that never worked. These Wolfe colors worked. And it was easy.I used a wet sponge to brush on a base layer of white. The coverage was pretty good, but I wanted it to be more even. So I dabbed on a second layer with the sponge. Dabbing was definitely the way to go for large areas. I let everythign dry for a couple of minutes. Then I used little wet paintbrushes to make a design with blue, red, gray, and black. It was fantastic. It stayed on for several hours. It didn't smear. It didn't crack. At the end of the night I rinsed my face with water. Water took off 80 percent of the paint. WATER. My face looked oddly pink. The red was stronger and clung to my skin. So I used some dove soap. That did the trick. No more pink face. No more paint. No scrubbing involved. No irritation. This Wolfe stuff is great. I wouldn't use it in the rain. But otherwise, its great.Note - I'm glad I 'splurged' and ordered the 12 color palette. The colors can be mixed, but I had trouble getting exactly the same color twice - it always came out lighter or darker.

This Set is Fantastic
I bought this so I could paint my face for Halloween. I've never painted my face or anyone else's before I bought this.I found it super easy to use! I would just get the brush wet and work the paint till I got the right consistency. It was exactly like regular painting, so it was easy to figure out how much water I really needed to get the color I wanted. I'm sure if I had started with a white base the colors would have popped and been insane, but I was really happy with the pigment on just my skin. I didn't have to do multiple layers either, just the once over and I was good to go.I used a translucent makeup setting powder over it once it was dry. Not sure if that helped or not? The paint did stay throughout the whole night out at multiple bars. When I got home and washed it off I actually had the whole thing to wash off! Washing it off was super easy too, just a little soap and water and a scrub and I was clean. The blue paints did stain my skin a bit, but nothing too terrible or noticeable. Within a day or two the staining was gone.I'm sure this pallet will last me a really long time. I ended up painting my face three separate times with the design you see in the picture. All of the colors in the tray still look full.

bright, long-lasting pigments & easy to use
These facepaints were recommended to me bu a friend who paints faces at parties. It is the easiest to use and apply. Easy to clean. Activates with water. Less water yields opaque color, more water is sheer. Too much water will drip. I wipe off with a baby wipe, then do a final rinse off in the sink/bath. Stays on as long as it doesn’t get wet, and the colors are as bright as it is on the palette. It’s great for at least 10-12 full face make ups for my 5- yr old. I just buy replacement colors as I run out. Allow wet paints to dry before storing. Paints stay in the palette, but can be removed. It comes with a brush, but I have not used it.One note: the edge of the case was cracked with it arrived, but it did not effect the paints or the storage case.

Perfect for Halloween makeup!
I bought this to do my daughters Halloween makeup and it worked perfectly! Yes, each individual color can and will come out. Yes, you will have to hold it while working(I actually found that easier anyways). Maybe it's because I don't regularly use face paint, but I thought this stuff was great!A little goes a long way with this stuff! Just keep your brush wet, and the paint goes on smooth and perfect. I used baby wipes to clean up any mess and they worked perfectly for removing the paint that didn't wash off in the shower. Yes, the colors are as vibrant as they appear.Thank you for providing a beautiful easy to use product, so a newbie like me was able to do sugar skull makeup with ease.

Best brand I've tried
As a professional face painter for over 5 years I can tell you that no face paint is perfect. The draw back with me for Wolfe is that you have to figure out what the perfect amount of water, sometimes I'm swooshing my brush around in the pallet for a while just to spread out the excess water I used. Other times I feel like I'm constantly dipping my brush in the water. This may be because I'm painting outside as well. The huge plus is that it goes on very smoothly, i wouldn't trust any other brand for fine outlines and white highlights. It is more vibrant on darker skin than kryolan or paradise. The painters I work with have always used stacking containers for their paints, so it is very smart that the Wolfe paint cakes come in containers that already stack together, eliminating the need to ever put paints in a different container. The palette itself is the only reason it's not 5 stars. The little containers fall out of the bigger black part, I just can't get them to really snap on there!

Wolfe is my favorite line work paint
Wolfe is a really great brand. Because they are a wax based paint they are better for line work than sponge work or filling in spaces. But this is undeniably good, very high quality paint. Wolfe White is my favorite white out of any brand and overall Wolfe does good detail work. It’s not a ton of paint but if you were to buy full sized containers it’d always be way more than these small palette types. I recommend especially for experience sampling different paints.
