RAM X-Grip Phone Mount with RAM Snap-Link Tough-Claw

I put my iPhone in this device and traveled approximately 90 mph down the Garden State Parkway. No problem. I was a bit nervous, but it exceeded my expectations.

Updating my review for this phone mount. I used the mount incorrectly and snapped the rubber band it comes with. Have ordered a replacement rubberband from another company, mount works fine now that I know how to use it.

It's a really solid mount for my Ural, I just wish it had a little bit more range of motion since my handlebar angle doesn't allow it to directly face me with its current flexibility.

This works great!! I've had it for nearly a year and it's been fantastic. And, the company is super responsive with questions. I highly recommend.

The mount does grip firmly to my motorcycle’s handlebar with no concerns that it will loosen or slip. However, they advertise this as compatible with iPhone 13 Pro and I feel like that should have an asterisk. If you try to center the phone on the mount in order to not overstretch the tether, the arms will grip the phone directly on the volume and lock buttons. I’m going to design and print a bumper for the phone to avoid this, but keep this in mind. You’d need to reposition the phone off-center, which does not feel as secure. They should offer a different grippy knob thing (technical term) to better accommodate specific phone designs. Additionally, they need to go back to the drawing board on their tether. Either the compound they use just doesn’t have the right tensile strength to stretch around an iPhone 13 without breaking, or they have some issues in the mold design or process that is causing weak points in the corners. Mine split right in the corner the first time I tried (fairly gently) stretching it around the phone. Definitely glad I picked up some additional tethers as they don’t seem that durable.

SIZE - Too small- was NOT the Large version... Love everything about this mount, but it was too small for my iPhone 12 Pro, with a case. In order for the mount’s prongs to not push on volume/on-off buttons, the bottom prongs were 1/2 way up the phone-(yellow marks on photo of the large model). This also made the tether not fit on the bottom. Large version fits perfectly! I will be using Zip Ties to hold in the rubber boots as suggested in a different comment.

great device - doing its job perfectly. Easy to install/remove The only thing that I worry is leaving it on the bike. Since it's easy to remove it can be easily stollen, besides that, great product.

I think I left a review of this item and I was super happy with this device. I mentioned somewhere that the elastic that came with it broke relatively quickly but it is such a solid unit that it would still be my choice. Without the rubber, it hadn't given a hint of losing my dlevice. Nonetheless, the great people at RAM sent me 3 replacements! So it's an amazing product with great people standing behind it. Thanks so much RAM!

Works great on a motorcycle

Die Halterung ist gut für den ad-hoc Einsatz. Ab- und wieder Anschrauben geht problemlos und die Fixierung hält super am Lenker. In meinem Stadtteil würde die Halterung sonst direkt abgebaut/geklaut. Deshalb sollte es ein Modell sein, was nicht so viel Aktion benötigt zum An- oder Abbau. Die Qualität macht zumindest einen Eindruck der nach Langlebigkeit aussieht.

Je viens de tester le support ce week end sur une moto (guidon de 1" sur custom), la pince est très pratique et tient très bien sur le guidon, et le téléphone ne bougeait pas du tout. c'est tout simplement excellent. j'espère que dans le temps ça va continuer. en plus j'ai été agréablement surpris d'avoir un système élastique pour sécuriser en plus le téléphone. je testerai plus tard sur mon VTT... @ suivre
