Macadamia oil is the healthiest monounsaturated oil available because of the very low amounts of polyunsaturated fat and omega-6 polyfat. In spite of this, macadamia oil does contain some polyfat, and that should have been disclosed on the label. The label for this product is in error and reports that the product contains 0 grams of polyunsaturated fat. That is a side effect of the fact that they are rounding values. Probably the real number was something under 500 mg (0.5 grams), and therefore they felt they had a right to round down to zero.This product label is therefore not only wrong, but is extremely deceptive labeling that incorrectly implies to a consumer that the product contains no polyunsaturated fat. Keep in mind that some of us use very large quantities of this oil in cooking, and as a topping on meals, as a general-purpose replacement for butter, cooking oils, and saturated fats. The amount of polyfats add up as enough oil is ingested, and the consumer of the Swanson macadamia oil product cannot make calculations about the amount of polyunsaturated fat they are ingesting because the product labeling is misleading and erroneous. I urge Swanson to correct this extremely serious labeling error.

Ok. I finally tried this in a Bath Salt recipe. It is a medium thick clear liquid with a hint of tan color. It has a super nutty smell to it. Which threw me off, because it took a lot to mask the smell in my Calming Bath Salt recipe. That is ok, but since it was my first time using Macadamia nut oil it caught me off guard. I would definitely buy again, just be aware that this has a nut smell (it actually smells like roasted macadamia nuts). It is very moisturizing and is known for its Palmitoleic acid, makes it perfect choice for dry skin and aiding in skin recovery.

This review is probably more about macadamia nut oil than it is about this brand in particular. Honestly, I originally tried this brand because it was the most reasonably priced of the cold-pressed macadamia nut oils I had seen. I stand by my decision, and I have zero complaints. This brand is delicious, and it keeps well.Apparently macadamia nut oil has a balance of polyunsaturates/monosaturates similar to that of olive oil. It has more monosaturated fat than several other popular vegetable oils. It has a very clean, neutral, unobtrusive flavor similar to canola oil, and it does not have a "nutty" taste. I usually use it when I need a healthy oil, but I don't want the olive-oil flavor in my food.A small amount mixed into scrambled eggs makes the eggs smooth and creamy. It is perfect for salad dressings and replacing butter on vegetables. Macadamia nut oil makes a delicious topping for popcorn, with or without the addition of a little butter or margarine.The other wonderful thing about this oil is that it tolerates high-heat cooking well, and can therefore be used as your standard all-purpose cooking oil.

The bottles came leaky, but for the price, I didn't complain. It is quality oil for the price. I'm not a huge fan of the taste, but you should get your EFAs in different forms, so this is a good choice.

The stores in my area quit carrying macadamia nut oil; it is prescribed to me by primary care practitioner. This seller/brand provides speedy delivery & reasonable prices. If the bottle were confirmed as being "bpa - free" & the oil was "certified organic," I would feel better about giving a 5 - star rating. The product is great for skin care/conditioning (absorbs quickly & some evidence suggests it can reduce damage if taken by mouth,daily), seems to reduce my joint pain/inflammatory response. It is an Omega Fatty Acid & one of few, saturated fats that is multi-beneficial. Macadamia nut oil is a good replacement for butter (can use after toast, hot cereal, veggies, fish etc., cool/s slightly & adds a mild, nutty flavor to fresh salads).

This was the first Macadamia Nut oil I ever bought. I was highly impressed with how well it worked for cooking and the wonderful flavor it imparted to my food. Sauteing chicken breasts in this is delicious. I ran out of this bottle and went looking for some in stores. First of all it is hard to find in stores, second it is more expensive, third the store bought macadamia nut oil was not the same quality as this one; this oil has a much richer flavor. I will be buying this brand of macadamia nut oil from Amazon from now on.

I actually bought this for my skin and hair. I put this in my shampoo, hair dye and add it to my body lotion. For some reason, it absorbs better than most other natural oils. It has a little more staying power than coconut oil and argan oil, and isn't as sticky as lanolin (which is made from sheep's wool, so I'm not too excited to put it on my skin). So go ahead and eat it if you want to, but try a little out on your dry skin and hair and see what it does!

not happy, organic product in a plastic bottle, advertisement did not state this, no mark for PBA free plastic , I will not but again as an organic product can be polluted with leakage from PBA plastic making nonsense of the meaning 'Organic"
