A connoisseur of wine and spirits, Ben Ish was taken from us at a young age. As a tribute to him, we carry on his legacy and aim to produce excellent wines that he would truly be proud of. All of our wines are strictly Kosher under the Supervision of the OK and every bottle we produce comes with a personalized label. At Ben Ish Winery, we begin the wine making process by selecting the best cabernet Sauvignon grapes. We crush when the brix is optimal and inoculate with a yeast that has been carefully paired with the grape. During the primary fermentation, we punch down the cap as many times as possible in order to extract the tannins, color and flavor. After carefully pressing, we inoculate the must and prepare for the malolactic fermentation. Along the way we add high quality toasted oak to impart a rich oak flavor. Cute, but...
My husband liked the concept of these wines, but not the taste. He loved the personalized label. He is a bit of a wine snob though - so I don't know if it was him or the wine. In retrospect we both wished we had simply left the beautiful bottles for display only, since the concept of a personalized label is so cute.I'm sill glad I purchased the bottles - they were a great gift idea with personalized wine glasses. I do wish the wine tasted as good as it looked though.

Good wine, very late delivery
The wine was very good. It was a gift, and the recipient told me it was a "great gift." Unfortunately, it arrived well after the promised date. The timing was very disappointing.

Was very satisfied with the flavor
Was very satisfied with the flavor, presentation, body, and concept of my bottles. The cab was smooth but yet at the same time filling and tasteful. I even offered some to a guest who generally doesn't like dry wines and he was genuinely impressed by its non-fruity flavor that still tasted delicious. The custom label just adds to each bottles authenticity and individuality making it a nice and personal gift for any guest to bring their host or vice versa.
