Great for paintings.
I'm very impressed with this tape, I can tell its less adhesive than other masking tapes I got for painting and it sticks well and gives an beautiful clean edge to watercolour and oil paintings with very very minimal or no tearing of the top layer of paper. Would definately recommend to other artists.

First time using masking tape for a painting and it worked amazingly.
I recently learnt using masking tape for watercolours and gouache ect gives a nice border and stops the painting buckling as much due to the wetness. This was my first ever time using masking tape on a painting, it worked amazingly, it was a bargain price and went on and came off very smoothly. It didn't tear my watercolour paper and also barely any paint leaked through, i've included a gouache painting of a witch i did the other night using this very masking paint to fix it to a surface, give a nice border and stop buckling, i even helped my painting dry with a hair dryer, no issues.I will definitely be sticking to unibond!!! I actually really liked the thickness of it too, at 38mm x 25m it stuck in place on the table properly and i could place it to the thickness of border over my paper that i wanted :)

Excellent masking tape at a fantastic price at time of ordering (25m for under £5). It's unusually wide, however, at 4cm.
Excellent masking tape, albeit unexpectedly wider than nearly every other roll I've purchased, irrespective of manufacturer.This Unibond Masking tape (25m) is nearly 4cm wide. May or may not be an issue, but it's worth checking the fine print before ordering if you're expecting the more common 2.5cm width.At time of purchase this was less than £5, and so outstanding value for money.

It’s a sticky situation
This masking tape worked a treat for sticking some foam boards together to create a backdrop for my action figure photography. It held in place for well over a week and showed very little signs of coming unstuck.

Masking tape for painting or drawing.
Masking tape.As I am an artists I use this tape a lot. As I'm working I stick the piece I'm working on to a big board so it doesn't keep moving about and there is something solid on the back. I get through loads of masking tape.This unibond is OK for sticking but it doesn't always peel off so easily, in fact I have one little piece still stuck to the back of the drawing, I can't peel it off for fear of tearing the drawing. It came away from the board OK but there is a little tiny piece that wouldn't come away. It won't show once the frame is in place so in this case it doesn't matter too much but it has put me off from buying it again.I do hope this review has helped you.
