Westinghouse 70266 Make-A-Lamp Kit

Over the last few years I've been purchasing these large Double Bastards from Stone in order to celebrate "Beersgiving." I've managed to end up when a few of these bottles in storage. Finally made a use of them with this lamp kit.The largest cork needed some modification with the Dreml in order to make a better fit. I secured the cork with a seam with the glue gun. So we had to modify the kit sightly but the end product makes for a good conversation piece.

I really liked the easy to follow instructions, and this made a perfect lamp out of a wine bottle, except for the piece that goes inside the lip. There were 3 sizes available, but none exactly right for the bottles I was using.

This was a great Make-A-Lamp kit! I turned an empty champagne bottle into a lamp and it made it pretty easy. I am only giving it 4 stars because I wish there were more directions. I had to go on YouTube in order to figure out how to wire it. The whole process took me about 30 minutes.

Worked well and did the job. The one issue was that it should have come with a larger size stopper for the bottle neck (I am using a very large rum bottle that was purchased on a cruise ship - I had to buy a separate rubber stopper).

Kit is very easy to use. Decent quality. Good price for what you are getting. Everything you need is included.

Kit seems to be of good quality, however if you want any more stylish you need to spend a bit more money.

The lamp kit was easy to use and appears to be of good quality.
