Saw alot of bad reviews product works perfect. Most bad reviews are because people didn t read discrimination. This product is for old small dovetails not 11 mm.worked perfectly on 1981 model Remington speed master with 5/16 dovetail

As others have mentioned, this adaptor isn't sized correctly to specification from the factory. Far too small to fit a standard 9.5mm dove tail rail. Also of note, the arch of empty space that would be between a dovetail rail and the adaptor is much larger than similarly designed competitors; less metal and much more empty space between. The undersized rails which would clamp to a dovetail rail also lack a lot of the metal reinforcement between the metal dovetail claws and the rest of the adaptor rail that the competitors have; possible failure point. The aluminum metal feels fairly soft and potentially easy to strip. Overall, the price difference between this and the competitor is worth it. Avoid this model.

fit well , really low & is very solid !

Doesn't quit fit over a rounded dovetail, took a lot of work to make it work.

Could not fit on rifle until I cut them in half. So don't buy unless you have a lot of tools for metal working.

Have Nitro air pistol. You have to widen these to fit over the rail as you cannot slide them on. Doesn't really work as the screws cannot pull the grip tight. You will likely strip or like me, break the screws. Now have to cut them with Dremel to get them off. Did get a refund so extra star for that.If you can slide these on from the end of the rail it may work for you. Otherwise I wouldn't try it only because the screws broke and I now have to cut them off WHILE ON THE PISTOL.

Too narrow to fit on a 11mm rail. I figured this was cheap no fluff version which is why i bought it. However, measuring the mount its already undersized and is not even adjustable. Other reviews state it doesn't tighten and looking at it i can see why. One side of the clamp needs to move in order to open up to mount and close down to tighten. This one doesn't do either. I have absolutely no idea how it is meant to function and I've been in the airguns industry for 17 years. Just horrible. AMAZON --- SAVE PEOPLE THE HEADACHE AND DROP THE PRODUCT

I ordered two of these to use with 22cal rifles/handguns with 11mm dovetails so that a standard Weaver ring could be used to mount a scope.Note that these are for the dovetails with a curved received and not flat. There are others made for flat receiver tops. I have found it difficult to find these type for the curved receiver tops, and it is important to understand that they are not interchangeable so be sure what your receiver style is before ordering.It's a good thing I ordered two because I messed up one pair. There is a trick to using fitting and securing these adapters on your gun.First, see how much they lack from sliding on the dovetail. Out of the box they will be a smaller opening than the dovetail. They require a gentle opening. I used a piece of steel pipe and placed the open side of the adapter over it. Then I used a chunk of wood on top and gently hit it with a hammer. I kept checking it for ability to slide on the dovetail without opening it too much.Now comes the part where I learned a lesson the hard way. If you just put it on the gun and start tightening the screws they will strip inside the mount. The mount is just soft alloy.The trick is to apply a few drops of oil inside the screw holes and on the screws themselves. Then slowly turn them in a few turns and back out again. Keep working them this way with the lubricating oil on them until they freely turn in and tighten down. You may have to remove them and apply a couple extra drops of oil for lubrication. Eventually the screws will bottom out and tighten the mount so it clamps down on the dovetail. Tighten each a bit in unison and do not tighten one fully and then tighten the other. Torque should just be a nice amount by hand to ensure they are tight and will not slip on the dovetail.I messed up the first pair by just trying to tighten the screws inside the soft alloy mount without any oil for lubrication and the one screw actually sheared off inside the mount and the other chewed out the threads. Lubrication and patience is key to making these fit.

Arrived earlier than promised fits well. Be careful tightening the mount as the screw head is soft. Works well.

I've used similar products before bit these were super tight to get on, wouldn't even fit the rifle Intended them for.

most dovetail rail systems I have seen can not slide anything on, you need to adjust it then put it on and then tighten the screws down. with this you can't loosen it because its just one piece, so I did what any person with common sense would do and I cut it in half so that I could fit it onto my pellet rifle.
