Connected to Network without a Problem and Works Very Well!
I bought this printer to replace an aging HP LaserJet 4P (20 years old!) which still worked very well, but was a bit pokey and starting to have problems with the paper feed mechanism (I had the 4P connected to my network via a device that connected the printer's parallel port to my router. Despite its age, it worked flawlessly with Windows 7). Although conventional wisdom suggests the HP does not make printers like it used to, I was predisposed to the brand given my experience with my last purchase.Although I don't have extremely high printer demands (10,000 sheets a year), I chose this model because the reviews of the entry level models were not stellar which generally appears to be the case across all manufacturers. I found this model easy to set up using the disk the came with the printer. Windows 7 recognized it right away and it printed out a test page without any problems. I did not notice any smell that was reported by others. Print copies were excellent. Noise level when printing is relatively high, but not objectionable. It is totally silent when on and waiting for a print job. Speed of printing is very good. The paper and envelope feed mechanisms work very well and I have not had a jam during the first month of operation. Compared to the entry-level printers, it is twice as large and does occupy a lot of real estate on my desk. But for me, that is a good tradeoff for general reliability and speed of operation. It is also nice being able to load an entire ream of paper rather than 250 sheets which is the limit for most small printers. It has a web interface that provides extensive diagnostic information, usage history, etc. I'm not sure if I'll use this information, but it's nice to know that it is there.Unlike the 4P, it did not come with a hard copy of a manual which is typical these days. It would be very useful if they produced an e-book version of the manual for use on a Kindle or Ipad which I prefer to use over a PDF version on the PC.The only thing that I can't report on is long-term reliability, but it appears to be well-constructed and have the sense that it will be a good performer over the long run. If I have a problem, I will be sure to post an update.

The printer starts off fine but has to be turned off and back on ...
I have been working with HP help/warranty on this and it is a nightmare. We've brought in our IT department to address and try to fix and are now working with HP help. We own 2 more of these printers. Hell, we are replacing this same printer that we bought 2 years ago...but for me 2 years is a reasonable amount of time for it to work. Despite that they cannot get it to work more than 3 print jobs in a row - they refuse to see that the printer is a lemon and provide fix or replacement and are working with our support staff for several hours a day now trying to install new software and every other issue imaginable. EVEN though when we place our other IDENTICAL printer in the same location it prints without problem. HP support SUCKS. A lemon is a lemon and should not be a week long on going project to fix. I was 5 days outside my warranty window when this happened.

Nice & Fast
Printer was plug and play with no issues. It has a nice keypad on the top of the machine which makes network setup easier than comparable models with only an up/down arrows. The printer warmed up in no time and prints very fast and clean. It is not very quiet when printing, but i have it on top of my desk not to far from me, so it's out in the open. It has a very nice and deep paper tray for holding a full reem of paper.

HP P3015N LaserJet Enterprise Printer
We have 10 of these in our organization. I am happy with the model. I expected a new printer to come in an HP box with the software and a cartridge. Did not have anything but the printer and a Dell power cord. Did have to repair the 500 page drawer as it would not come out. The center spring had fallen out of place and would not let the drawer out. At first thought it was used but after inspection decided it looked new. Not sure why it was not in the box.

Great But Noisy
Got this for the office as our old one was super slow and creaky. This one spits out pages pretty down fast. Drawers work well. Easy read display. Only complaint is that it is LOUD and obnoxious. Of course you expect some noise but its a noise that would startle you if you didn't know why. Luckily since it is fast, it does not last long. Been using about 2 wks with an average of 50 pages a day and so far so good. Had one jam that was cleared easily by following the prompts of where to check.

Internal rollers squeaking badly
Internal rollers [not toner cartridge rollers] started squeaking badly after 1,000 copies. Missed return window by four days! Perfect obsolescence!
