Ellie, got to love her!
First let me say I am a fan of Three Legged Things and this another great product from them. I put this on my Canon 5d mark iv (and 6d) and not only do I love the unique look, it makes connecting my tripod easy. I also feel like it provides some level of protection for my camera body. I have been using L brackets on my DSLRs for the last several years and they make switching from landscape to portrait a breeze. Ellie is great in that you can change the orientation of the “L” for ease of access to the multiple ports on the side of the camera. While Ellie is designed to work on most of the common DSLRs on the market, it would be awesome if they offered camera specific “L’s” and an extended version for use with battery grips.

Highly recommend L Bracket!
This is a brilliant L Bracket! For anyone using a tripod and shoot landscape and portrait this is a no brainer! You can also take these apart just for the base if you want. The only thing that's somewhat annoying is the vertical bracket blocks the side ports. If you use anything that will plug in, it will be tight. However, you can slide the Bracket out further, tighten screws, and problem solved. (You can also use that as a handle to carry!)On the Nikon Z bodies you will have a gap, as show in pics, but I like to offset the bottom screw and bump the bracket against the knob. (Also Mark your centerline to remember)Extremely sturdy, nice color and amazing purpose. You'd be a silly person not to buy an L Bracket.

Great L bracket for the price
This bracket does what it's supposed to without being outrageously costly ! The fact that it can be adjusted to fit various cameras makes it even more versatile. Some people complain about the color, but I like the metallic orange myself.

Sturdy and stylish.
I wanted the Ellie L bracket for my Nikon D 5600 to up my tripod photography game. This bracket didn't disappoint. I am very pleased with my purchase. It feels well made and works perfectly on my Joilcan tripod.

Top notch
The bracket works great, adjustable feature is nice. Bolts are high quality stainless steel. The notch in the top does not effect clamping as a youtube review suggested. There is no flex to it also making it sturdy.

Great L-bracket for shooting portrait or landscape on a tripod!
I really like being able to mount my camera to my ball head on my tripod in portrait orientation without having to turn my tripod head sideways to get it there. My primary tripod I use is a Joby 5K and as sturdy as it is, you still NEED to have the weight distributed as well as possible to keep the camera from falling off whatever you place it on. The Three Legged Thing L-Bracket makes that MUCH easier. I shoot probably around 60-70% portrait photography so this really is key for me probably if that isn't how you shoot than it won't make as big of a difference. I bought this L-Bracket originally for my Sony A7r III but now my primary camera is a Nikon D5. I would really love it is they would make an L-Bracket for the Nikon D5 and bigger cameras. I still use it on my D5 but its definitely a stretch

Wanted to like this but when wrong colour arrived I should have realised it was a sign!
I have a Canon 80D and was using the old 3LT L-Bracket. Saw the Ellie on BvS YouTube video and it looked to have removed the issue with the flippy screen not being able to go right back. To be fair it solved this problem but with my old L-Bracket I can loosen it, swing it round 180 degs. and then store it easily in by camera bag. The screw slots in the Ellie don't let me do this so I'd have to take the bracket completely off each time I want to store it which is too much of a faff. It also has a small allen key tool which is bound to get lost. It needs adding to the 3LT plastic tool which I clip on my camera bag so it's always available. I also can't get the same range of movement of the camera on my Vanguard Tripod with the Ellie as I can with the old one. I'm not a great fan of the cut out bit either as when you turn the camers to portrait orientation my tripod doesn't grip the bracket as securely. If you have wider jaws on your tripod head it may be OK. It may be better for others but for me in curing the one problem to allow the flippy screen to go back 3LT have created two others. I've gone back to using the older 3LT bracket and will either try to sell the Ellie or keep it and hope when I get a main tripod at least one problem will be solved. Not being able to flip the bracket 180 degress for storage in my camera bag is something I need due to the design of the space in my bag. Hope this helps - you may be luckier with your set up but I'd advise trying to borrow one before buying.

Perfect for a 5D IV
Awesome! Fits my 5D Mark IV perfectly, looks amazing and love the opening to get to my ports. Feels extremely sturdy! I was worried there may be some wobble from the connection of the two plates but this is not the case.MAKE SURE YOU CHECK THE SIZEPeople saying it didn't fit their camera should check the 3 legged thing website first instead of leaving bad reviews on this!

tad expensive and doesn't quite fit Nikon D750
Was a bit concerned about a 'universal' bracket but went ahead and tried it knowing it could be returned. Concern justified, it doesn't fit the D750 properly although it can be tightened in a position with limited access to side doors on camera but not ideal. So back it went and I tried a Fotga Quick Release, specially made for my camera. It fits and has good access to side doors. At a third of the price of the 3lt Fotga item this was a bargain. Some of the 'big boys' should follow the design of the Fotga, there is a piece of the bracket removed to enable access with your finger to open the side panels. Try it, you won't be disappointed.

Excellent sturdy and well made L bracket
I have tried many other L brackets from different manufacturers for my canon 5D mark iv but this is by far the best, absolutely rock solid and I love the splash of colour too. It's very easy to fit and take off when needed, it Comes very well packed with a fabric pouch and special key for quick adjustment, no more metal rattling around in the camera back when I'm out and about.I wouldn't but a cheaper version ever again, very happy

Versatile and tough
Versatile and tough, and looks great too. I opted for the orange colour to match my A7iii. Using this with an arca swiss quick release tripod head makes going from landscape to portrait orientation painless. Saving you the hassle of putting your tripod head to 90 degrees and trying with limited movement to set up your shot. The bracket is adjustable, allowing you to create space to allow for cables and still leaves room under the body to change batteries and memory cards.
