A great gift for trekkies of any age.
I bought this for my dad without realizing that it's supposed to be like a children's book. He enjoyed it regardless; the whole family got a huge laugh from pressing the buttons and hearing guttural klingon phrases in response.Only complaint is that the voice box thing is slow to start. It seemed like it didn't wanna work at first, but after some convincing it started shouting klingon at us.

maj'.Qa!
Cute addition o any Klingon collection.Word of advice tho. The instructions in the back of the book say to replace the batteries for the interactive device with AG13's However, after opening up the tray I found that they are, in fact, LM44's so if you need to replace them as I did (ine arrived with dead batteries) remember to shop accordingly.

Our 4 year old’s favorite gift!
By far, my youngest daughter’s favorite holiday gift! She loves the Klingon world and has enjoyed the humor of this book. She’s been teaching herself the language. The buttons work great and the enunciation is clear.I was worried it might be a little too violent/gory for her, but the Klingon culture is presented in a way that highlights honor, strength, bravery and independence (the traits my daughter appreciates in them).

Be careful if you have a speech impediment
I was at a restaurant on Qo'nos - The Rokeg Pie Factory (think Cheesecake Factory) - and being that my dinner bit me on the tongue, my mouth wasn't working right. So, when I asked the waiter if the targ was free-range, I accidentally said the chef was a targ. Fortunately, the misunderstanding was cleared up, and the chef served gagh the way they serve shrimp at a Japanese steak house...

An amusing book
If you ever thought you might be in an office where Klingon is spoken or need to ask directions on the Klingon homeworld, this is the book for you. Seriously, though, if you are interested in Klingon as a constructed language, you probably need to look elsewhere. I for one, loved the situations portrayed in the book. Great illustrations!

More fun than help, but that works for me!
I like this book.It is fun to read and fun to listen to.The reason why it's four stars is that it would have been nice to get more spoken phrases. Ten is too few. With that said, this is a fun book to leave on the table before a party.

Just a fun item. With only several pages
Just a fun item. With only several pages, and those pages mostly being taken up by pictures, don't expect to actually learn much Klingon from this. The pages are hard like the cover, as in books for very young children. There are a couple of phrases in here that might be fun to use at a convention, but most of it isn't stuff worth using. The audio feature is a nice touch. Since it's not a particularly expensive book, if you want to get it for the amusement, go for it.

Disappointed
Came today but I must admit I was disappointed as the pages are cardboard with a push bottom voice box.More a toy than a book, a child's present than a adults.

pup, vaj vay' mach (Perfect , for any small warrior)
Should have read the information. I had no idea it was a children's interactive book. Not quite how I wanted to learn Klingon. Still love it!
