Great Buy
My son is in kindergarten. This book has helped him learn his sight words and retain them. The sight words build as he reads each book. We are on book 12 this week. I already ordered level 3 books. He enjoys the books. They are simple but interesting. Very age appropriate. Must buy.

Fantastic books for new readers
I love everything from Preschool Prep. more importantly - my daughters love everything from Preschool Prep. We watched the videos a lot but the books help too. Many cute stories from level 1 to level 3 (12 books in each box). great for families with multiple children where each child can read a different stage. I saw at back to school night, my daughter's kindergarten teacher had a set in the reading cornet. definitely a great program that really helps children learn to read in a fun way. I highly recommend to anyone with budding readers.

These are Great Starter Books
These are great starter books for kids to learn how to read. Very simple words with repetitive type sentences so kids can pick up the words more easily. My child already has learned a few words from these books so when we read together I can just point to the word and he automatically knows what it is. I highly recommend these.

simple books good suppliment to videos
I bought this for my Kindle Fire. These books contain 12 stories and illustration comparible to the Preschool Prep "Meet the Sightword" videos. Simple text with a simple picture. I would recommend the videos over these books if you could only choose one.I wish they had an app that hightlighted each word in the same manner that the read-a-long portion of the "Meet the Sightword" video. My son has these sightwords memorized by 18 months but is reluctant to read the stories. He would rather for us to read to him. We know he knows the words, as we tested him with 3X5 index cards.

Great books and quality!
I love these for so many reasons. 1) The quality is great, 2) the box with handle is so convenient, 3) the basic black font on white page is perfect for new readers, 4) the picture is on the opposite page of text. Separating the text and picture is priceless because my 5-year old is often easily distracted by pictures and ends up trying to guess words based on the picture instead of actually reading words. With these books, I fold the book and let him read the sentence, then flip it back to look at the picture. Just perfect! These have to be designed by educators!
