Silent, just as advertised.
I needed a silent mouse for my laptop because I didn't want to disturb others in quiet settings (i.e. classroom, library) when I'm using it. The mouse might feel cheap in some aspects but it's a 13 dollar mouse. Using it actually feels pretty nice. It has a good studded texture on the buttons and works pretty smoothly. If you want to play video games in lecture without being obnoxious, get this thing. All the buttons are extremely quiet. Somebody else described this as someone lightly tapping the skin of their fingers on a wood desk; I find that statement accurate. Others were complaining about the back and forward buttons + the scroll wheel not being silent; I think that may have been an old model because the one I got is completely silent. EDIT: Like I said, it's a 13 dollar mouse. With about two years of constant use (for both workstation and gaming applications), I've managed to wear it down and now the left and right mouse buttons either fail to register or end up double-clicking more often than not. The scroll wheel has the same fault as the mouse buttons, even after disassembling the mouse and cleaning it. In the end, it was a nice mouse with poor longevity.

Honestly, unless you're a hard user, buy this!
I'll admit, I had low expectations for this mouse due to price. I bought it as a quick mouse to toss into my laptop bag when I travel, but I will tell you that it's the quietest mouse I've ever owned and just as good as most of the expensive gaming mice that I've had over the years... it has since replaced my main wired mouse at home as a result. Battery life is impressive, but I haven't had to replace them yet so the full term will be TBD. Sensitivity once the mouse is "on" is great! They go into standby after about 20 minutes and require a click before they become active, but for the price they're a huge bargain!

A fine "silent partner" for my daily office work
This is a great mouse for use in an office environment. The left and right click buttons are pretty much completely silent. While the wheel and side buttons are not, they're still quiet enough to not be obtrusive. The side buttons are mapped to browser forward and back by default, even on macOS, which is where I'm using mine. I can't comment on battery life at this time, but the overall build quality seems decent enough for the price. I tried using the mouse for gaming, but the limited DPI adjustment and somewhat sluggish response make it suitable only for very casual titles. That being said, I can't knock it for this because it's not advertised as such. The shape isn't the most ergonomic either, but I haven't experienced any hand or arm pain after using it for nearly eight hours per day for the last several weeks. So far, this is proving to be a solid mouse for the price and something I would absolutely recommend for non-gamers.

Almost perfect but fingers drag and sometimes erratic
I grabbed this and 2 other "silent click" mice to test. The first was https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07VJXZLG9/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 because it was on another site's list as one of the best silent mice. I returned it 5 minutes later as it's just a regular mouse. Maybe even louder than the average one. Emospeak (this product) was the second. The top is a kind of rubber that feels nice and smooth. I tried it on a mousepad and desktop wood and both worked equally fine. It is incredibly quiet, most silent of any I tried and even the mouse wheel is pretty quiet (not silent but not far from it, especially compared to some others.) The side buttons are really loud but I rarely use them so it wasn't an issue. The main problems are that the right side curves in so my ring and pinky fingers dragged and it would annoy me now and then. The more I noticed it the more it annoyed me. The other issue is that it's not uncommon for the connection to get iffy and the cursor to zip around. It wasn't often but it was enough that I decided to try a different mouse to compare before returning this one. The third was https://www.amazon.com/Wireless-FOME-Ergonomic-Right-handed-Noiseless/dp/B07542NDWN/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_product_sims?ie=UTF8 well actually it was https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01565RLGY/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 but good luck ever getting that one as buying it will only get you the former no matter how many replacements you get. Anyway, the knock-off version is still pretty good, quiet, the mouse wheel is a louder but not bad, side buttons are a little quieter and not as jarring, and the right has a placement for your last two fingers so it's more comfortable. The feel is a kind of soft plastic. I was pretty set to pick this one but near a week after using it the clicks became louder -- not loud, but louder. I figured they would get louder over time but it beginning after a week is worrisome. For an example of the noise increase, the emospeak makes no sound when my head is next to it and im not wearing headphones, this one makes noise when I'm not wearing headphones, but I can't hear it with an over-ear headset (that I'm usually using) on. This also doesn't have a connection issue of the cursor zipping frantically for a second and glides better. I ended up keeping the fome mouse but both are good and I'd recommend either.

Delivered as expected.. very quiet. [UPDATE 4 mo Review: quality sucks!]
This is an updated 4 months review. I have changed this product review from 5 stars to 1 start (I'd do 0 if I could or even negative 5.) After 4 months the mouse now becomes laggy. I tried to google why a mouse is laggy, thinking it might have been my computer or even the mouse pad itself or the mouse laser. I've insured my mouse pad is clean (which I clean this on a regular basis) and I even ensured my mouse laser is clean, using a q-tip to ensure but the mouse is still laggy. I have tried to switch mouse pads, I even tried to just use the bare desk (as I was thinking maybe the mouse is not registering the mouse pad for whatever reason) - still go the same results. I then went back to this product to read "recent" reviews on this mouse and come to find out a lot of other people are having the same problem with the mouse being laggy. If you dont understand what I mean by laggy, heres the best way I can example: It's like when you go to click on something for example if your going to click to close your browser, and you move your mouse to that X, its gonna take your mouse awhile to catch up to the directon or command you asked it to, sometimes even having to physically lift your mouse, move your hand back to the bottom corner of your mouse pad, to do the motion again. This mouse was great up until it lasted, which was about 4 months plus or minus. Thus making this product not so great at all. The price is cheap, so I guess I got what I paid for this time. IF I could suggest to you on deciding to purchase this mouse, I would say to try another mouse and another brand. Focus on recent reviews but I personally wouldn't recommend this mouse to a friend. Now I'm back to my old loud clicker, until I find replacement. Good luck on your purchase! Below WAS my original 5 review (keep in mind, this product is no longer rated 5 stars by me. Try negative 50 stars): Apparently we have a lot of computer mouse experts here. I had this mouse sitting in my shopping cart for a month deciding my needs and wants because some of the reviews were misleading, saying this mouse is not quiet. This mouse is quiet. The scroll wheel, is quiet, and the scroll click is also quiet. If you look at the picture of this mouse, there are 2 buttons (where your thumb would go) which is for forward and backwards on a page. Quiet. Again some of these reviews I've read said the mouse is not quiet. If you are clicking and pushing buttons on a mouse, the person next to you will not hear you clicking. You literally have to take the mouse and hold it to your ear, start clicking to here any kind of noise but even then the noise is so subtle and light (its like when you buy a brand new computer or keyboard and the keys are so soft and new when you push them). So I don't know how much more quiet some of these people need or want. They want to press invisible air. If you are looking for a mouse that is quiet when you are clicking or scrolling, this is perfect. I can't say for quality yet but ill update this review in a few months. Just know, with this mouse nobody will hear you click. Im glad I bought this and I hope it lasts a long time.

Large, noiseless, two AAA batteries
If you've got a bigger hand and are looking for a larger mouse, then this is a good choice. The click feels kind of squishy and is definitely noiseless, so if that doesn't bother you or if it's what you're looking for then this is a good budget buy. Side thumb buttons are handy. DPI is adjustable to three different levels as advertised. You click the wheel to wake from standby - simply moving the mouse around will not work. Only disappointing feature is that it uses two AAA batteries instead of one AA. Batteries do last a long time, I haven't changed mine since purchase and it's been 6+ months. Not a bad mouse. You get what's promised. Cheap, lightweight, and durable.

Excellent purchase!! Highly recommended
Works out the box on Linux Mint 19 with no configuring or pairing necessary, just plug in and it works. Really nice build quality with smooth matt black surface. Buttons do click, just very quietly, so you do get tactile feedback. Wheel feels nice with just the right amount of resistance between lines of scroll. Button underneath scroll wheel gives three levels of sensitivity/dots per inch, without having to go into any settings on PC. Glides great on fabric mouse mat or wooden desk and seems equally at home on both in terms of responsiveness. No branding or writing on it, which I like, It's just a stylish black wireless mouse that looks good and works well. Good value for money, I've seen similar for three times as much. Recommended.

My model just doesn't work that well.
This mouse is silent, its clicks are very inaudible and good for any office or school use or even if someone is sleeping near you. It's ergonomic and has some good DPI settings, for me anyway. It comes in at around 84 grams on my scale, it's pretty lightweight for having 2 batteries in it. But that's about where the good things end. First of all, no software, so you're stuck with the back and forward buttons on the side. The most egregious and inexcusable thing is the fact that *OUT OF THE BOX* the left click doesn't work well. About 50% of the time clicks just don't register, making it immediately unusable for me for anything. Also, the mechanism itself seems to be flawed. I say that because if I hold down the left click button, I can manipulate it ever so slightly to make it click many times while it's being held down, over and over again. I'll try a replacement and see if that works better. Edit: The replacement model came in, and it seems to be fine at the very least. I can still manipulate the left click to click repeatedly, but it clicks. Still can't reprogram the side buttons, but for a silent mouse, it does its job. I'm still going to give it 3 stars because there's no excuse for having the first one I got shipped be so bad. The optical sensor, while clearly stated, is really not ideal for FPS games, I can also use a window from a foot away to move the cursor. I'm satisfied to the point where I'm not going to just ask for a full refund.
