Love these ones. They were the perfect size when I started feeding my son at 6 months. Making puree and anything. It is worth the money. I might buy more to make jam because I lost the majority when I moved. They are very durable. And has stickers so you can label whatever you put in there. Great design as well.

I don't can food. I like to make Carpenter Bee traps out of blocks of 4x4 lumber. After drilling holes in the 4x4, I use 8 oz Mason jars to attach to the bottom for the "trap". I don't use the round lid part, I just use the screw on portion. i use self-drilling screws to afix the rim to the bottom of the 4x4. it's easy to screw off the jar the dump the bees.

Love the shape of the jars but they are not 8oz. I bought these to store spices and I got 7oz spice packets. You would have to pack down the spice powders to get it to fit to the rim of the jar. So, that was kind of misleading. But, they serve their purpose of holding spices. They’ll even fit in a standard apartment kitchen drawer instead of a shelf. That worked out since I chose to stick the labels on the lid instead of the bottle. Keeping them in the drawer allows easy view and access.A good purchase as long as you understand that it does not hold 8oz spice packets.

I bought these jars for homemade yogurt. The 8 oz. size is perfect. These mason jars are a good quality, heavier glass so I have no worries about them breaking and the lids create a good seal. The packing materials kept the jars from clanking against each other and even though the Amazon delivery person threw the box hard enough to dent the box when it hit my door, there wasn't a broken jar in the bunch! I would definitely buy this product again!
