Leigh Country TX 93485 9' Char-Log Windmill

Bought it for yard decoration. Really like the rustic look of the charred wood. Only complaint was that one of the support legs had large cracks in it, that were filled with some kind of wood filler, which fell out during assembly. The leg should have been replaced with one without the cracks. Overall quality was very good and assembly was fairly easy . Just take your time and review the instructions carefully.

Well, at first it seemed intimidating. Just Read through the Instructions FIRST and you can save some time. Everything came together as expected and my wife was pleased with the fit and finish. Not wanting to disturb her Landscaping, I elected to secure the windmill with stainless steel cables from the frame to anchors behind the shrubbery. We absolutely love the charred finish and overall look.

It's a very windmill. The wood frame is not the highest quality, but does look nice. Not to hard to put together but pay attention to the instructions on the leges. The come in two parts. Then when they're put together they have two different sets most alternate them. Took me about 2 hours by myself to put it all together. If you can get someone to help. It'll will be much easier to assemble. 😄

I’m seeing a lot of negative reviews about the instructions. I am somebody who never assembles things. I am not mechanically inclined. I was very intimidated after reading the reviews, but it was not bad at all! Just pay attention to the pictures! Do each step in order, and Look to see where p1 and p2 fall. When it says to use a certain bolt, look at the picture and see what all rings and nuts are on that bolt. It took me a few hours, but I didn’t have much trouble. If I can do it, you can do it! It is sturdy, and functioning as it should. Nothing missing. Great windmill. I love it!

Beautiful and perfect customer service

I have owned many of these and this one is pure junk. They seem to be using cheaper material and they could care less that they will lose a loyal customer. So wanted to give everyone a heads up, don’t waste your money. All they can say is sorry. For a $300 item, it would take a LOT of sorry from them. So buyer beware. The wood has big splits in them, they sent it out like that and thought it would be good.

We love this sturdy, rustic windmill from Leigh Country, and even enjoyed assembling it using the written instructions, as well as You-Tube for clarification. It was well over 90° when we assembled it, so we chose to build it inside the house in the AC. Word of warning, we had to take an interior door off the hinges to get the assembled windmill out of the house~ it's big and has a very wide base. We have just stood it in the yard (not anchored yet) and love the size and look. Now we just need a breeze so we can see it in action!!

Well built, clear instructions if one reads them all first. I’m pleased. Will see when the winds whip through how it does. 5/5 thus far.
