The DISH 1000.4 provides reception from the 61.5, 72.7, and 77 DBS orbital locations using a dish antenna size similar to a DISH 1000.2 Allows you to connect up to three receivers and a second dish for a fourth orbital location. Review: Must have for HD Local Channels! - Apparently you need this LNBF to receive local channels in HD on the east coast. I was using the 1000.2 LNBF (110, 119, 129) and was wondering why my local channels were in low def. Of course, I didn't find out why till complaining to Dish about paying for HD content yet not receiving all of it! Finally, they connected me to an engineer which proceeded to tell me I needed the 1000.4 LNBF (61.5, 72.7, 77) to receive the locals in HD! It's not a big deal, would've been nice if Dish would've informed me about this sooner and at least offered to upgrade the LNBF for free since they installed the wrong one (DirecTV would've) but apparently Dish doesn't roll like that. Got it new on here for $20 so I can't complain considering SolidSignal is selling it for $40+! Install was a breeze ... used my SuperBuddy and 72.7 sat to dial signal in (transponder 5) and peak sat 61.5 & 77 by adjusting the skew. Just make sure your receiver is compatible with the 1000.4 EA before ordering! Might add ... seller "shyjasmine2010" is who sold me mine and handles all kinds of other satellite equipment ... highly recommend ... great prices and fast shipping! Review: Warning if you're expecting new (or even refurb). - Unit received is DEFINITELY used - not even a refurb (see pics). Nothing in the product description says used or refurb (I usually get new because of the variability of even refurbs). Even asked Rufus prior to ordering to see if I was missing something, and again checked Rufus when I got this unit. I know people who have bought refurbs, and at minimum, the caps are replaced because they eventually get brittle and crack. As you can see from the pics, the caps are the old, original, yellowing caps. It might have been a deceptive return, but I'm not taking a chance again, and no, it's not my old one. I live in NH and got this in anticipation of replacing it when it gets warmer (there's still a little snow on my roof). From the ground, I can see the part of the cap that covers the 77 sat but 77 is no longer used by Dish, but that means it will all start cracking soon, so I'm in no hurry to replace it until it warms up.

Works well and quality product
Worked well for the eastern arc. I had a standard definition dish, and i replaced the arm, the back end dish and bought this eastern arc for the house in south carolina. All plug and play as i did not have to re aim the satellite dish. This Lnbf is a quality product.

Works fine...
Finally set up my hidef Dish Network satellite dish when the weather got better. Works fine and have only lost the signal in a couple of very strong rains and also when the dish go covered by snow. Would recommend to others.

RECEIVED THIS UNIT IN PERFECT SHAPE AND IT MEETS MY PURPOSE. HAVE DISH TV AND THIS UNIT ALOWS ME TO SET UP ON THE EASTERN ARC WHICH ALLOWS ME TO RECEIVE HOMETOWN LOCAL CHANNELS NO MATTER WHERE I TRAVEL WHICH IS ALL OVER NORTH AMERICA.
