Extremely effective. I have had low iron since childhood. My father and brother do too. (I am female) I was told by my doctor that if my iron went any lower I would have to have a blood transfusion. My legs always felt very weak, and extremely heavy, and it was incredibly difficult to get up one flight of stairs. (I have fibroids too, and had very heavy bleeding - and 2-3 mg of iodine taken with good fats like avocados stop that, btw; and regular avocado eating also seems to stop 95% of pms - ladies, please tell all your friends who pop Motrin and other drugs for their cramps) I usually would be able to get up 2 to 3 stairs, and have to stop and rest. 4 steps max. I take one gelcap of this and I can go up all of the stairs, and not get tired until the last 2 steps. And I’m not even That tired. It’s really really amazing. And that difference happens within 2 to 3 hours of taking it. It seems to be absorbed really well. And I never get any side effects whatsoever. I never even have to think about it. It just works. I find it works best for me to take two during the day; 1 earlier, 1 later. But even 1 in the morning or afternoon really helps. So if you are 1 of the few reviewers who doesn’t like these, consider giving them to someone else, rather than throwing them away, because they can really make a difference in quality of life for others. Especially if they live in a place with 2 floors. And my 2 other favorite things are probably the fact that they taste good, and are so easy for me to swallow. One reviewer said that they are pretty big, but I don’t find that. I actually have a lot of trouble swallowing pills. I not only find it very difficult to swallow regular pills, but they also often get stuck in my esophagus after swallowing. And I have to chase them with food and water to actually drag them down. Not fun. But not these. These have a good outside flavor, and go down easy-peasy. They really are life changing.

These are now my favorite Iron Supplements. I've tried a number of different ones over the years and had issues. I love these and it feels like I have more energy after taking them a few week. As long as I have a little bit to eat while taking them, they're easy on my stomach and doesn't uh . . . stop up the ol' plumbing.

As a runner, I use this to help with my iron levels. It never upsets my stomach and increases my ferratin levels well. It doesn't leave an iron taste nor does it have a strong smell like other supplements I have used.

I suffer from anemia and these are the best iron supplements I have found so far. I was taking a brand that had half the iron and when my levels were far too low, I upped the dosage and found that I was having some negative side effects. A friend recommended this brand and I get the same dosage with one pill and I'm not having problems with them. My last blood test was a lot better and I'm back into the normal range.

I have been taking these for the past 6 months after being told by my Dr. that my iron was low. She gave me specific requiements on what to look for. After much research in person going store to store, then the internet I found these on Amazon and was impressed w/what people were saying about them. My Dr. had warned about some effects from iron. However, after reading other's reviews I thought I would give these a try. I have had no side effects and during my last Dr. visit my iron showed a great improvement. In fact after telling her what I was taking, we were both surprised to find out she has been taking the exact thing herself for the past couple of years. So I am very satisfied w/this product.

The only iron supplement that is easy on my gastrointestinal system. No bloating, constipation, diarrhea, stomach cramps, vomiting or metalic after taste. In other words, any side effects at all.
