very good quality and finish. I installed it on a Remington R1 enhanced with the threaded barrel and I had to size the sight to fit (.012 too big) but with a little by little approach with a jewelers file I got a nice tight fit with a tiny drop of lock-tite (blue) it looks like a gunsmith did it.exactly what I wanted. i'm very pleased. Thinking about doing the sights on a few of my other handguns

Fit the RIA Commander Compact .45. Did require filing. Take your time with some flat files and you'll be fine. The only thing I dislike is the hinge pin. It is not tight and can work it's way out during firing. I put a little loctite on each end and it seems to hold in place. Still a good sight. Adjusts easily. So far so good. 4 stars for the hinge pin.

It is not a drop in replacement for the "Novak style cut" on my RIA 1911 slide so it took some fitting to install. After about an hour of careful filling and stoning and some liquid bluing, it looks like the pistol came with this sight. Adjustments were plenty to bring the pistol to correct POI.

Received in brand new perfect condition. Well packaged. I installed this sight on a Springfield Operator 45ACP. 1911 . Now I know the 1911’s have been around about 110 years. And everybody including there brothers and sisters make these. Even the same manufacturers have different dove tail cuts. But many have different Novak cuts and then there’s the Taurus PT-1911 with there own cut. Try finding an adjustable sight for that. Okay it took me 7 hours to get this sight to fit perfectly. People please listen. If you need adjustable sights ether take it to a gunsmith or buy it with the sight on it. I believe you might be money and time ahead. I had to take off so much metal that I need two Tetanus shots. What a job. I also had to take the sight completely apart even the hinge pin so after it was installed. So I could get to the two set screws were the two small springs rest on. Not a big deal for me. But really way too much work. Next 1911 will have fully adjustable sights on it. Now Glocks are stupid easy . But 1911 not standard. Hope this helps some of you. My Springfield Garrison was easier, but at that time there were more sights available. Now not so much. Good seller! Can’t recommend because of all the tools and time involved. Be safe and shoot straight.

Everyone is always on Dawson’s D when it comes to 1911 sights. But I’ve tried it and it broke after one trip to the range with only one box. I was under the impression Dawson was the best of the best and here it is broken. Fortunately they agreed and gave me a refund. I got this Kensight and it’s holding up well

Extremely expensive. The advertised measurements were off by approximately .05 inches and required several hours of filing to fit into the dovetail. The screw threads were sloppy and did notbhold tension or adjuatment screws well. Would not recommend to anyone.

Nice. Easy fit and installation....If ya have the tools. If not, your Smith ought to be able to do it while you wait.

This sight was purchased because it was supposed to replace the existing sight in my 1911 pistol. It is actually bigger than the slot in the slide. I ended up taking the weapon to a gunsmith who charged me to make the slide slot larger so the sight would fit. I pick up the gun today and am excited about shooting it. The size will allow me to use it as my concealed carry and I should be able to adjust it to shoot dead on at the range.
