Q: Is there a calibration file included like the one that came with my DEQX? Someone ripped off my mic and need to replace it .

A unique calibration file isn't included. There is a generic calibration curve printed on the box, and there are a few calibration files out on the web that were created using that curve, but these ECM8000s aren't uniquely calibrated. There is at least one company that will take your ECM8000 and calibrate it for you (and provide the calibration file), or you can buy one pre-calibrated (from 3rd parties).

Q: Will the ecm8000 fit in a typical but non-adjustable diameter mic holder such as the end of a neewer nw-106 microphone stand?

I've used mine in several regular mic stands without a problem, so if that stand can hold an SM-57 or other standard microphone, it should work with this one.

Q: Can we use this microphone with sound measurement equipment?

Yes & no, with Sonarworks, no, with ik multimedia arc system yes, but you still need to match the mic with the measurement software, specs

Q: How flat is the response? Does it come with a frequency response graph?

The ECM 8000 is real good. When you buy one it comes with a response graph. I use mine all the time.

Use frequently as a house mic

I am a sound engineer and I do sound design and installs for churches. I have used this mic several times as a house mic for adding to the livestream mix or for adding to the in ears mix, works great and and about 1/10 of the price for other condenser mics.

Best Budget MEASUREMENT MIC money can buy!

The mic is a surprisingly good measurement microphone that won’t stress you out if it gets lost or banged up. It’s affordable, works well for room measurements, and delivers accurate results without costing an arm and a leg. I love that I can bring it to gigs, rehearsals, or any setup without constantly worrying about babying it.

Lots of bang for the buck.

I purchased this reasonably priced microphone from Amazon to replace a deteriorating CM-10 microphone that came with my AudioControl RTA years ago. The ECM8000 lacks the gain of the CM-10, but with the help of an Xtuga microphone preamplifier that I also got from Amazon, the combination works to perfection. I once reviewed audio gear for magazine articles with my RTA assisting, but these days I just use the device, the preamp, and the microphone to check the speakers in the two audio systems I have in my home to enjoy. The trio works just fine. Yeah, I am retired, and my old speakers checked out just fine, as well.

Good value.

Not as accurate as higher priced, other manufacturers models for the same purpose. Slight high frequency boost (2 or 3 db) around 8kz.Otherwise good bang for the buck.
