Great alternative to $1000 slider, compact and easy to set up.
I just received this 23" slider and it works as expected. We also own a $1100 Phillip Bloom pocket dolly slider from Kessler and love it. But its the 3 ft version and can sometimes be cumbersome to lug around and set up quickly. We looked into getting this small simple slider for quick simple slider shots. We often run and gun around on a shoot and don't have time to set up or carry around our PB slider. So I looked around for another slider that wouldn't break the bank but also get the job done. I went with this 23" Kamerar slider and it works well. It doesn't slider SUPER smooth like our PB Kessler slider but if your steady with your hand and motions you can get great results. We also use our PB slider from Kessler because we use it for motion time lapse slides(motorized) which you can not do with this slider. This Kamerar slider is only used for simple quick slide shots. And that's exactly what we needed it for.Build quality it good and solid. Its VERY light weight and sets up in seconds with our quick release plate we mounted. The brake on the dolly works ok and thats another feature some others didn't not offer in this price range. The slide itself is smoother than I expected, especially after being spoiled by our PB slider. But this one slides great.I'd recommend it anyone looking for a great simple slider.Shipping came from Houston Texas and took about a week to get to me with USPS Priority Mail.

Great Budget Slider But Not That Smooth
Love the look and price of this slider, smaller than what I expected it to be, wished it was a 30" to really take advantage of the shots. Only real issue is it isn't as smooth as you would like it to be. It does work, but it'll take some practice moves beforehand in order to get "The Shot". Do I recommend? Yes.

I gave it away
I used this slider for about a year before I replaced it. I ended up giving it away. It doesn't slide well, there is a lot of friction. Also its very difficult to retool in the middle of a shoot. You have to take the legs off in order to change the camera or head, and that requires an allen wrench. I want to say this was good for the price, but it literally fails at everything its supposed to do.After getting my fancier studio budget slider, this guy was a goner!

Good construction, but...
Sticks a lot. Ended up having to lather it up in lube to get a smooth pull.

Great travel slider!
This slider is a wonderful travel slider for 100 dollars. I have used it on several occasions where I wanted that extra flair without having to pack a full size one. Great quality material and slides without and shakyness on the camera itself. I use a canon T3i with an extra battery pack on the bottom. I would say this is probably the max weight I would put on this slider so if you have a bigger camera, it might not work as well due to the weight. The other unfortunate part is you need to buy your own mount, but given the price, it's probably best you have to find your own. I searched online for a DIY slider, but ended up buying this as all the others were too big a project and probably would have ended up being must more bulky than this one.

AWESOME! better than my expectations
i read a bunch onto these off brand sliders. They dont have bearings like the nicer more expensive sliders do, but this actually works quite nicely with my nikon d7000. Granted, you have to try a tad harder to get some special glide shots compared to the more expensive sliders, but it can be done. It slides nice and smoothly left and right but if you wanted to add camera movement as well if you have a tripod head on it, then thats when it gets a bit tricky since there are no bearings. But its manageable and alot cheaper. I love it

Slider track
This track is ok - love the compact size and color- BUT it sticks with a full DSLR on top....giving it a jolting -sticky -Non fluid motion while using it. We returned it - BUT I have a friend who kept theirs and simply used a smaller camera on top. With a lighter camera it great!!!
