nice, well made. Nylon works well for my cajon
I got this based on reading the review of others. This not the cheapest, nor is it priced among the top tier brushes for professional percussionists. That suits me as someone who just noodles around with a cajon. It works and appears well made. I got it to use on my cajon which probably would be damaged by wire brushes. It also worked well on the man-made "head" on my banjo. I need to fashion a cushioned or leather carry bag to protect them when not in use. The handles are a tough plastic, but it could be crushed is stepped on or something heavy is unintentionally placed on top of it.

Good budget minded brushes
Work fine for my cajon at church. Easy retraction. Creat good tone. Seem pretty durable.

Good quality
These are great for my portable cajon. I like that they retract as they can be easily stored. They are not something I will use often but at this price and convenience, they are a good value.

Nice brushes
These are great. Got them yesterday and they’re good brushes for cajon. I wanted to address people that are marking the face of their cajon: you WILL mark the face of your cajon over time if you hit it with the edge of the plastic sheath. Just by the nature of the angle you play the cajon, it’s easy to make contact this way. Either you angle the cajon back (which is a common playing stance) or you lean a bit forward to adjust. Otherwise, I honestly can’t imagine you’d do alot of damage/anything beyond normal wear and tear.

Perfect Compliment for Cajun Variety
These are perfect for shuffle type percussion on the Meinl Cajon. They are lightweight, well balanced, and appear well made. They sound perfect with the Cajon, especially for soft rhythmic beats, and are a nice compliment to using the Cajon hands only. I found that having the adjustable length of the brushes allows for a nice change of sound, including a deepening sound, or even a 'beat' with stick only, especially when targeting the bass section of the Cajon. These bring a nice variety of sound to the Cajun and make a versatile instrument (Cajon) even more versatile, and allow for a pleasant "shuffle" pace sound that goes so nicely with Americana, folk, and country blues music. If you like the "unplugged sound", a la Clapton, these sounds really nice with the Meinl Cajon.

Great For Electric Drums
I looked all over to find my wife brushes that weren't so stiff for her Roland's Electric drum set. When I saw these and counted the bristles, she agreed to try them. She got them today and couldn't wait to try them. Needless to say, she loves them. Not only are they better than the others, the price was acceptable. Thank you to the seller.

I'm pretty bummed because I know they'll shorten the life of ...
These sound absolutely phenomenal and take the cajon sound to a whole nother dimension... but they are putting dents/scratches on the faceplate of my cajon! I'm pretty bummed because I know they'll shorten the life of my cajon. But when it all comes down to it, they really do make the sound better and more interesting, so I'll still use them.By the way: I managed to reduce the dents by taking felt cable ties and tying them around the top of the white handle. They still scratch a little bit.

Great with the cajon!
I thought I'd try a set of brushes to get an additional sound on the cajon - they are great! SO MUCH easier on my hands than playing bare-handed. You can still get a good bass thump by using the rubber part, even with the brushes pulled out. I am not likely go to back to playing bare-handed from now on!
