Great lead, better than expected. Purchased for my 30kg old english bulldog who is VERY excitable and tends to launch herself and at anyone nearby. We walk her through public pathways on farm fields mainly so wanted to keep her under control while having freedom to roam and sniff etc.I had concerns this may not be strong enough for my chonky dog pulling but it has held up very well for a smaller, thin leash. The grip is comfortable with plenty of space, I will often loop a poop bag through the bottom. I have dropped this on concrete a couple of times and the dog has pulled it around and the finish and colour have held up well with minimal scratches or marks.Functionality wise, the 5m leash is a good length. You can lock this off pushing the button or locking it with the slider. When the dog pulls it will auto lock as well which releases when there is some slack - this can be a little tricky to release at times if the dog suddenly pulls again but you get used to it.The entry to the handle where the leash comes in and out doesn't tangle or roll the strapping - the shape to prevent this works very well. There is a spring loaded metal clip to attach to the dog harness, pretty standard. This has got wet several times now and still functions as expected.We wouldn't hesitate to buy another for whatever reason.

Love these tug leads, compared to other retractable leads this is superior by far. The button to lock and hold the lead is so easy to use, both to lock and release. The lead retracts so smoothly and easily compared to most others. A decent length to enable recall to be practised before trying off leash. The colour of the lead itself makes it nice and easy to spot too. Fantastic for wheelchair users as my dog can have a little room to get out of my way by going in front or behind the wheelchair when space is too tight for her to stay next to my side. Also works great when I need her to heel to my right rather than my left without the lead getting caught or becoming too tight or too loose. They are also incredibly durable - my last dog had one that lasted well over 5 years, my helpers all say it's much more comfortable in their hands than others I have had in the past with a nice balanced weight. A little more expensive than some cheap ones but the difference in quality is so great that they are definitely really good value for money.

Good quality for price. Puppies will chew through it though, but an extension is provided so you can add it to the lead for this purpose. We're on our 2nd one as our pup has very sharp teeth, but the product is good and comfortable to use, so we bought the same again, and we're using the extension this time.

This is my second one of these , the last one lasted quite a few years then it started to fray but well worth buying again as it’s sturdy and strong! 😊

Easy to hold, good quality, nice colour, functionality is brilliant

**UPDATE: i've raised the stars on my review as, despite, the my purchase being outside of the return window, Tag contacted me and gave immediate refund. No company can avoid the odd product failure but good customer service can make all the difference. Thanks Tag!** Initially I really liked this lead and would have given it four stars. Positives: Handle is compact and ergonomic, tape lead much more manageable than cord, great idea to make tape and handle in high vis colour. Negatives: retracts more slowly than my previous cord lead but this is something just to be aware of rather than a dealbreaker: won't get your dog back in a hurry in an emergency but, at the same time, doesn't give your dog a start snapping back too quickly if there's loose lead. When the lead was mostly extended there were certain points where the lock switch wouldn't full6 depress down which was annoying but holding the button down as much as it would did at hold the lead in position.Anyhow, that would have been my review but, after six weeks of use, it's completely useless. With no warning, half way through a walk the tape lead began sticking, wouldn't retract or extend, and when i did manage to get it moving the button wouldn't work to lock it in place. Luckily i always carry standard lead with me otherwise it would have been very hairy getting my dog home along busy main roads. Of course, it's become unusable when the return window has closed so I now have to fork out for another one. Very disappointed and very annoyed.

Nice product. Looks and feels sturdy.My only issue is the size of the grip, which is a bit small so uncomfortable for a man's hand.Item purchased for upto 15kg dog
