Not as good as I hoped it would be
I can't help but say that I'm somewhat let down by this product. First off, I have no idea what was going through the mind of the person who designed the wire "handles" on this device. They way they're attached and positioned, it's almost impossible to find a container that will hold this filter cone. As pictured, the left handle is only attached at the top; while the bottom simply hooks onto the middle wire ring and easily slips off. This means, unless the right handle is also supported, the entire filter cone falls down to a horizontal position. Secondly, the instructions on the pack of filters say that if being used to filter cooking oil, the oil should be filtered while still hot. When I tried to do this, the filter became limp and kept folding over from the top. I had to re-open and re-position the filter several times before I could finish filtering all my cooking oil.

very well made product and I highly recommend it for this purpose
ordered these to filter maple syrup before canning/bottling. Rand the syrup thru hot, and only needed on filter at a time to do the job. very well made product and I highly recommend it for this purpose.

Great heavy duty product
Great heavy duty product. Works great over a 5 gallon pail. I also used it to filter home made wine. Filters fit great.
