The DIY Bride: 40 Fun Projects for Your Ultimate One-of-a-Kind Wedding

I LOVE THIS BOOK! I bought this book as a guide to help me create my own invitations, but it is so much more. It offers creative ideas for everything from Save The Dates to Flower Girl Buckets & Ring Bearer Pillows, all the way to Reception Decor & Favors, plus great ideas for storing & displaying your memories. I did not find anything that looked "cheap" in this book, and am now inspired and excited to plan my wedding. Each project offers a material list, step-by-step instruction, and price comp to the store bought version. The only drawback is there are only 2 types of invitations included, neither of which fit my personal style. But don't let that discourage you from buying this book. Just buy an invitation book to supplement it. Also, be sure to do a trial run on the papercrafts before you cut all the paper. The author's measurements are EXACT on the Save The Dates with little room for error, so you will want to figure out how to adjust measurements per your need ahead of time. Overall, this book is priceless, creative, and inspirational. BUY THIS BOOK!

I really like this book. I found some good ideas for a seating chart and creative table numbers. The plus is that they are easy to do and the author's instructions are simple to follow. I bought a pre-cut cupcake stand for $30 and was a little miffed to find one in here I could've made for about $15 or less. If you are looking for some fun DIY projects before the wedding that are not ridiculously difficult (hello Martha Stewart) then this is the book for you.

I was interested in doing a custom wedding and this booked helped make sure that happened. I was able to thoughtful design every thing in our wedding from the initial save-the-dates to the favors, decor, guest book, etc. I think I ended up using more ideas from the companion book "DIY Bride Craft Countdown", but that was only because of personal taste. This book is also great and saved me a fortune since I used the idea for the window-pane invitations. They were a huge hit, pretty fun to make, and turned out great. This and the companion book were both essential in helping me have exactly the wedding day I wanted, and without them I never would have pulled it off. Both are worth their weight in gold!

I'm the poster child for DIY any and everything, including my wedding. Our whole wedding was gorgeous and (excluding my dress) we had 250+ people, food, alcohol, and a PHENOMENAL photographer for under $5k. Although I didn't use many of the exact ideas in this book, I definitely was able to use it as a good jump off point! :)

The book is very good, with illustrations that are easy to follow and the directions are as well. The book will now be handed over to each of the bride's sisters as they get married. Start your projects early...then the projects will be fun and can be used as a wedding party get-together, and get-something-accomplished party!

Very cute ideas for ever aspect of your wedding that you can do! However, some of the tools were not what a normal person probably keeps on hand. Like a solder? I onlty have one b/c my fiancee does!Def a good book to have to personalize your wedding on your own

For my wedding I used a lot of DIY projects. From this book I found several that I could incorporate into my special day. The guests all enjoyed the special touches and effort I took to make my wedding truely unique. The projects in this book were great because it came with clear instructions and materials list. It also gave a cost break down of what you are saving by DIY. The projects were also easy to alter to make it fit your needs.

I love this book. Being a wedding planner, I've read more wedding-related books than I'm willing to admit. This is one of the few that not only delivers many, many useful and stylish projects, it's well written, upbeat, and nice looking. There are far too many wedding books that are just a waste of time (something most brides have too little of). This book raises the bar for other wedding authors. Thanks, Khris Cochran! I recommend this to all my clients who want inspiration to personalize their weddings.

I've found this crafty book a great help for creating just about everything for my wedding. From invitations and thank-you notes to aisle-runners and cake-toppers this book covers them all. It guides through every step, even telling you how to create various items on your own computer. Most can easily be personalised to suit your theme and tastes and the little price guide at the end of each project shows you roughly how much you've saved making it yourself. Me and my maid of honour cannot wait to start on the 'time capsule' project!I only have one small problem with it, and it can't really be helped, as it was published in America all prices are in dollars and many of the stores listed in the back are unavailable for us British brides.

I ordered this to use for my wedding in 2012 and can honestly say i didn't make anything from this book which is a shame

The ideas in this book are not that original and the projects are limited. Maybe it would have been better for a begginer in DIY projects but the project I planned for my wedding are way more rich then the basic stuff seen in this book.

un buen libro para coger ideas de manualidades sencillas y vistosas. me hubiese gustado algo más que sólo decoraciones y detallitos, pero por lo general, está muy bien.

I bought it, but didn't actually do any of the projects for my wedding. There were some good ideas though.
