If you have an older TV and want to stream Netflix etc, you need an AV converter. This one does the job and I have used it in conjunction with a Chrome Cast. I tried a Roku but it won't run on an older TV and is fussy about firewalls and hub settings. This converter will output sound and video in as good a quality as watching your TV, it's easy to set up and well worth the money.

Ok i have a pc in a room upstairs i needed a way to watch flash videos via the browser once a week, (i do have a media server but this was something different), so i plugged this into a spare hdmi output on my video card, plugged in the ubs to give it power then plugged the rca yellow cable into a video sender, then the soundcard output into the video sender, and simply mirrored the browser, the video and sound were then sent to the video sender receiver downstairs and i am able to watch video on my browser (flash video) on my large tv downstairs. This works well.

I ordered one converter in December to connect my old TV to a new Amazon Fire stick. It worked well for 3 months than it's started to loose the connection and now it doesn't work at all.I ordered another one and it does not work: it makes a weird noise when the USB cable is connected and it seems to not connect to the Fire Stick at all.Disappointing.

This is not as described. Despite the listing specifying the unit works with both PAL and NTSC sets (and other similar devices having a switch to select), this one does not. It is only when I refer to the "Instruction" leaflet that I saw "Output: NTSC - select on your TV" that I began to doubt the previous claims - even made also on the front of said leaflet!On connecting it up, the picture suffered from the usual judder seen when converting from 25 to 30 fps, and up on the screen came the notice "NTSC". Therefore, false description and bought under false pretences.To add insult to injury, this one was also faulty and didn't decode the picture properly, but would have had to go back in any case as it doesn't work with a PAL TV.

I tried connecting my hd toaster to my Xmas tree lights but didn’t work,I also tried connecting them to my fridge and even my deep fat fryer but still couldn’t watch my toaster in hd.My cat suggested we get the dog to go to the shops for some beers
