Great Combo table and versatile
I looked at different types water tables and sand tables and combos and finally decided on this one. Price was unbeatable (purchased during prime day and got a great deal). I based my finally decision on the following factors:1) Feedback: based on the feedback this seemed to be the best product out there regarding hour long entertainment, durability, quality, and price2) Quality: It comes with a cover lid that is fastened via cords on each side allowing it to stay put during storms and it is such a tight fit that it may not let any critters in to access the water or sand3) It is a combo: meaning it allows for versatility. You can either fill both sides with sand or water, sand and water, or rice (as per feedback when moving it indoors to keep the mess at bay and allow indoor fun during the winter months)4) It has two drain plugs (one each side) to allow the water and/or sand to drain easily5) Easy clean up6) Light enough to move7) It came with the umbrella for the times the deck has no shade. This is great to allow a little protection from the sun8) Value and price. If you would get a water table and sandbox separate from each other you would ultimately pay more unless you are lucky and get it used or hand me down or have time to build your own sand box.Only down side I found so far: My 17 months old son has discovered how fun it is to transfer the sand from his sand side to the water side to make mud (Thank you hubby lol). Either way it can get messy and a bit more cumbersome to clean the water side after his fun. Suggestion: drain the water and let the sun dry out the side and grab the vacuum. Simple and quickest method.Recommendation I like to pass one from a feedback I read on another sand table product: Add a bit of cinnamon to your play sand to deter critters (in case they find a way in with the cover). It works.

Buy it! The kids will thank you
If this isint the cutest thing and so much fun for the kids! The value for your money is amazing, it’s sturdy, came with a few cute toys, super lightweight but you can add sand or water in the legs to hold it down better!

Great sensory table!
I looked at a few different sensory tables and the reviews, inevitably this table is the one I went with. I plan to bring this inside during the cold months as a sensory table. This table is the perfect height and very sturdy (my child is destructive) it’s also absolutely adorable and I love that it has a lid with bungee cords! The umbrella is perfect for if we want to talk it out in the yard and comes with a little bracket to put underneath the table incase of a storm. I love that it comes with the little accessories for him to play with and both sides of the table have little drains to easy clean anything you put in the table.

Cute water/sand table....with two flaws
I'm usually a fan of Step2. They specialize in large and durable outdoor products for children. This water/sand table is no exception. It's solid and sturdy and goes together fairly quickly. I've seen reviews criticizing the lack of pilot holes for the legs. This seems to be standard practice from the company's manufacturing process as I've seen it in other Step2 toys that we own. So I was kind of expecting the same thing with this table when I ordered it. To be clear, there is a 'starter hole' to place the screws in the correct spot, but you will indeed need to drive the screws thru the bulk of plastic on your own. Yes, attempting this by hand with a screwdriver is a task. It's doable. But a power drill will make it go much easier and quicker. So, the two flaws...and I'm somewhat disappointed by this as it indicates a dip in quality from this brand. Flaw #1 - the surface around the two drain holes where the rubber plugs go should be flat. But they are not. They surface around the holes is bowed on my table. This results in the rubber grommet not resting flat against the surface increasing the likelihood of water leakage. This would also explain the many complaints of leakage in other reviews if the bow is present in all tables indicating the flaw exists during the manufacturing process. The flaw wasn't obvious to me until I turned the table over and noticed the nut also wasn't flush against the undersurface. Flaw #2 - the hole for the umbrella appears also to have been tooled incorrectly during the manufacturing process. There is a round white bracket that's inserted over the pole underneath the table to keep the umbrella from swaying. The instructions clearly show that the bracket is resting against the undersurface of the table for maximum stability. But (as shown in my photo) that is not possible. You have to tilt the pole to accommodate the bracket and it still doesn't rest against the undersurface as intended. This results in a somewhat tilted umbrella and less stability anyway since the bracket isn't performing the function it was designed for. Overall however, the table is functional and the grandkids enjoy it despite the crooked tilting umbrella.

Great water table
Step 2 is the way to go. ALTHOUGH it's a more expensive product compared to what is out there now it doesn't fall apart. It is a product of good no exceptional quality. I have just spent so much money on products of same price they turned out to be nothing but junk. I wish I didn't learn the hard way! I plant to continue buying Step 2 for all my babies now.
