Carson RD Series 8x42mm Open-Bridge Waterproof High Definition Full Sized Binoculars (RD-842)

I rarely leave reviews, but I was compelled to do so this time. I researched binoculars until finally deciding on these. I will use these primarily at the shooting range. They are fantastic, super sharp, and I can easily see targets at 25 and 50 yards. The surprise came when unboxing them. The zipper on the case was broken in that one of the zipper pulls just fell off inside the package. Not a big deal, but I thought I would at least try customer service by sending them an email. To my surprise in less than a day I got a response from a customer service rep (over the holidays, no less) and said she would be happy to send me a new case. I gave her my info, and within a week I received a new case! Now that's what I call excellent service. The reviews were right, Carson is an excellent company!

Lightweight wide field of view clear well made and good looking

Overall, these are a great product for the money. Nice clear view, the focusing wheel works great, and these things are not so bulky that you can't take them with you to more places than you would a heavier, bulkier pair. Two small complaints for me: 1- the eye relief focus moves in and out way to easily. Not really any way to tighten that up. 2- the carry case is on the cheaper side, like on mine the zipper handle just fell off. The way it is designed it can just slip off the end and it's not the kind of metal that you could just close it with a pair of pliers... it would snap so best to just leave it alone. Having said that, I guess it's better that they put the money into the binoculars. Overall, these would be hard to beat for the money.

My husband and I bc of Covid started watching the birds in our backyard. We had two small pairs of binoculars and I decided to surprise my husband for Christmas in 2022 with a good pair. I once again read the reviews and chose this pair of binoculars. We are so pleased with the clarity and sharpness of this binocular! So happy with our purchase!!

We selected this set of binoculars after reviewing several.For the money we felt this was the best fit for our recenttrip to Alaska. They worked out beautifully and allowed us to get upclose and personal withAlaskan wildlife! Would recommend!❤️

I purchased these as a novice birder and for general outdoor use. I am extremely pleased with them. They have a very clear picture and are easy to focus.

The optics are incredibly sharp and binoculars seem to be well built and durable. I highly recommend this product considering the price point and value.

I am very sensitive to distortions and brighness lack and I was looking for top of the line binoculars.Before getting these ones, I considered $800 Fujinon as a serious option. But after watching YouTube reviews on binoculars, I decided to give Carson a chance and bought the 8x42 version.My impression are that clarity is amazing. Distortions are minimal. Eye strain is 100x less than Bushnell $50 binoculars I owned a while ago. I am impressed to say the least.I give Carson 5 stars.
