I really do like this unit
I really do like this unit. I'll give you my synopsis of it in list form because it helps me get things in order and I'll miss fewer things.1. Do not, I repeat, DO NOT get a refurb of this unit. There is no way that Amazon Warehouse can test them thoroughly enough to make sure that they are FULLY functioning. I went through 2 refurbs and I thought Amazon was going to lynch me for returning them.2. INSTALL was very easy, but don't look for great instructions from Rosen to get you through the process. Do a search for ADCmobile rosen install instructions and that will help immensely. Youtube is great as well to watch some installs. Every little bit helps.3. If you don't have Bose your install will be done in minutes (literally), if you do, there's some difficulty (which is mainly testing to make sure everything is connected right. Two of the connectors can be reversed (GM WHY?) and it can make you question your sanity. Just look at both male and female and make sure they match up.4. If you have a Chevy truck be prepared to get your hands bruised and bloody because for big trucks there is very little room for the wires back there. Just hold the stereo up and tuck from over the top first until the wires get too short and the tuck from underneath the stereo. Keep doing this until the unit is flush and the screws can be put in easily without bending or breaking the bezel. If not then pull it out and restart. Put the 3x2 box to the right side with the little speaker facing down. Run the bluetooth mic up along the A pillar and place it somewhere around the rear view mirror.5. TEST unit before you put everything back in place. You won't regret this decision. I've done installs on other cars with aftermarket units (kenwood, Pioneer) and they take longer because they aren't "plug and Play". If you have Bose Centerpoint/Rear Seat Entertainment you will want to test that too. A major indicator that the connections are switched is that the rear speakers and the RSE won't have sound at all.......yes I did that and I felt really stupid for such a rookie mistake.6. Mount it and then do the initial setup. Hit keypad on the "settings" screen and put in the 1120 code. Choose your bluetooth preferences and Satellite radio tuner if you have them.7. Navigation is Garmin good or maybe even better. The accuracy is stunning. I mean that. 11 million points of interest? How many Cracker Barrels are there?????:)8. Sound is darn good. Maybe not Kenwood good, but I'm not going to complain.THE REAL ADVANTAGE of this unit. It is plug and play and will work with almost any GM truck form 07-13/14. No other adapters required. Buy a Kenwood or Pioneer and you will pay 700+ for the unit and then get ready to spend anywhere from $200-500 on adapters to make all the other stuff work.9. I will help anyone who wants it if you contact me. I promise. I don't want people to go through problems that I already have it I can be of help.

CarShow is a great radio replacement in Chevy Suburban
Installation was good especially with all the direct factory harness connectors. All features and functions are working great.Installing the GPS antenna just a little tricky but fine for any do it yourselfer! Bluetooth works great (my Suburban did not have); OnStar still works. The Suburban MIC works (no need to wire the included CarShow mic). Calls sound good and callers on the other end say they can hear me very well.iPhone integration works well. Can play music through bluetooth streaming (Pandora or Music/iPod) and if you use your lightning cable you get more features (e.g., charging and music display from Pandora or iPod/Music).Nav is very good. No problems with that but haven't taken any long trips yet.Things I would like to see:- no HD radio -- really wish this unit had that feature. Our 2013 GM has HD radio and I think this should be standard as part of any good aftermarket radio (and make no mistake, the CarShow by Rosen is a great aftermarket radio)- improved customization: for example, there are just a few background pictures you can use. I would like to see the ability to add/upload my own pictures. I'd prefer ability to change the boot up background picture also (it boots up with CarShow picture).- WinCE? - I think Rosen should improve this unit by moving to a more modern/advanced OS such as Android. WinCE is showing it's age. I have to say they have done a remarkable job with the OS and the functions are great but they could improve this.Great radio and great job from Rosen. They should keep making these and continue to improve them.[update July 30, 2014]Took a 1600 mile trip in my Suburban with the Rosen. Nav was perfect, even in obscure locations.DVD played great for the kiddos (headphones). Streamed pandora during the drive. Note: You need to select "DVD" in menu, rear every time you start a new movie or start up the car again. That allows the kids IR headphones to work while I'm listening to Pandora. Only for those with rear seat entertainment package.NAV functioned concurrently with Pandora and DVD playing in rear.Really pleased with unit after a multi day trip.
