Pulse Corner Bass Traps -Cherry
Thoughtful packaging, includes wall hanging hardware. I’m using them freestanding on the floor. Beautiful finish, visually pleasing. Bass traps are designed to absorb excess sonic energy that usually pools near a room’s back wall. Installing a pair of these has definitely improved clarity near the back wall and enhanced bass definition in the “sweet spot” listening area. A single pair seems sufficient in my 16’w x 17’d x 10’h room. Larger rooms or areas with profound standing wave issues may require multiple units to increase absorption. The pulse traps are a great deal and offer a good looking alternative to some of the utilitarian designs available elsewhere. This is one of the best cheap tweets you can make to your system.

Bass Traps...nice touch of wood ..not effective...
I have a very sensitive neighbor on the other side of our "Common wall" ...so I purchased two of these. I installed one in the front corner of the common wall and one in the rear corner. I have had them installed as per instructions for 60 days now. Noise level seems to be unchanged from the same period without these installed. So will need to take additional measures as these were a a total waste of money! They are not ugly and they do fit the wood colors currently in the Living Room ....Not sure if I expected too much from two very simple items....?? But I probably could have used simple foam only and saved $75 for some other project.

Excellent customer service.
Unfortunately, all of the panels I received were damaged in shipping. They immediately took care of the situation. 5 stars for customer service. As mentioned in other reviews, the mounting system is basically a spike plate you screw to the wall and then you press the foam back onto the spikes, not a fan of this, but its better than tape. I found the photos to be better than real life. 3.5 for expectations vs reality. Which is subjective.

Sound Treatment vs Sound Transmission.
I keep seeing people comment on putting up sound treatment products expecting that the product will resolve sound transmission issues, and then giving bad reviews to an inappropriate use of the product. Many of products sold by Amazon are SOUND TREATMENT products, not Sound Transmission prevention products. They TREAT acoustical issues WITHIN the space they are applied. They are used to reduce standing waves, RT60 times, bass nodes, slap echo, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd reflection points and other acoustical problems WITHIN the space. No sound treatment product will actually materially affect sound TRANSMISSION.Sound transmission happens by the physical coupling of the interior surface of the room/wall to the outside surface/wall. Generally low frequencies are more "transmissible" than high frequencies because the sound wave couples to and physically moves the wall, and therefore they are significantly harder to absorb. All sound treatments are designed to either absorb or diffuse sound waves that come into contact with them. Bass Traps will absorb low frequencies, but most lose effectiveness below 100Hz unless they are large or heavy or both. To reduce low frequency sound transmission, you either need weight, (i.e. concrete or lead), or to break the angle of wave propagation through the wall with a product like Quiet Rock sheetrock, or you need to physically decouple the surfaces. All I'm saying is that acoustical treatment products will minimally affect low frequency sound transmission. Make sure that the proper product is selected for the need.
