I had that when we were stationed in Germany. It is nothing like what we have in the USA. It is very spicy.

Having served in Germany for almost 7 years I have had the real deal. It’s actually a famous mustard brand from Düsseldorf, Germany, known for its sharp, spicy flavor. Its direct translation Lowensenf ( Lions mustard) should let the buyer know this is bold but does not leave that hot , lingering taste. This is Mittelsharfer (medium sharp) It’s their classic variety — right in the middle between mild and extra hot. This is the real deal. I say, buy with confidence, I did.

I love the taste.

Very tasty though. Sorta like a Dijon, but not as sharp. Gonna be great on a bratwurst or hotdog.

Authentic mustard

Really disappointed in this mustard. I bought 2 as I loved it in Germany. It did not taste like the mustard we had in Germany - Although it was the same brand. It was definitely not extra hot. When I opened the jar it didn’t look right - over stuffed? Tasted like another mustard used in another ethnic culture - but it’s not appropriate to say which culture - so I can’t say.

Best mustard we’ve found!
