Terra Vegetable Chips, Taro Chips with Sea Salt, 5 Oz (Pack of 12)

Since I moved from the Big Island in 2014 been missing the locally produced taro chips, and finally found these on Amazon. Almost as tasty as Hawaiian made. moderately salted, & crunchy, good enuf for Nebraska. Bags are fluffed up with air but still lots of broken chips which are nonetheless enjoyed. For those unfamiliar with taro chips they are hard enuf to poke your gums so care must be taken when chewing to avoid injury. Maybe not a good choice for those with soft food limitations. Right up there with potato chips for a unique delicious flavor.

OMG. I shouldn't have bought 12 bags....because I'm going to eat every single one of them! I had major surgery two weeks ago and can't drive or walk to the store to purchase my favorite things. I'll be out of commission for several months. Thanks to Amazon though, my delicious Taro chips were delivered right to my door. When ordering, I was concerned about freshness but was extremely pleased to see upon their delivery, that they are good until June. Fantastic!!! My problem is that I don't do anything in moderation and particularly since my surgery, I tell myself that after what I've been through, I deserve these chips!!!! Maybe I'll learn moderation before I open my next bag but in the meantime, I'm enjoying the heck out of these perfectly salted, perfectly crisp and delicious, wonderfully delicious chips!!!!!

I have purchased a few cases of these in the past. At first they were fine, fresh & very tasty. The last two orders have been so salty that they're almost inedible. I thought the order before this last one was a fluke, so I ordered them again. They're even more salty than the case before. They are expensive and not worth the price paid, which has steadily increased. I am very, very, very disappointed and will not be recommending or purchasing them in the future.

Every year, we have a big luau complete with lau lau, lurid cocktails and a tiki idol with glowing red eyes. Naturally, we serve taro chips. For years, we've bought them at one of our local stores. This year, we went to our usual supplier and checked out their Terra chips aisle. They had sweet potato chips and beet chips and potato chips and a host of others. We've tried a lot of them, and Terra does make a good chip, but there wasn't a taro chip to be had. We asked the stocking manager and we're given the tale of woe. There had been a taro crop failure. The prices were sky high. How high? Well, they were higher than they were, but not really that high. Still, the store wouldn't carry them. They knew their customers. They offered to order us a box containing a dozen bags, but they couldn't guarantee a delivery date. We had a luau coming. So, we searched a bit and wound up shopping on Amazon. We bought a dozen bags, more than twice what we needed, but the price was pretty good, and they arrived with time to spare. The inflated bags cushioned the chips. Most of them were whole, and they were as delicious as ever. So, this is a great product, and this is a great way to buy it. Also, we hope the taro crop does better next year.

My favorite chips so crunchy and satisfying you are going to love them. I was so disappointed when they removed them from their mix and so happy to find I could get them separately. I used to cherry pick the mix because these were my favorite

I first tasted this chip as one of several varieties found in Terra Vegetable Chips in a healthfood store years ago. I found myself seeking out this chip more than the others even though I like the sweet potato chip. The Taro chip is hardy, tasty and has it's own unique flavor. I found taro chips while working in Hawaii and really wanted to have them stateside when I returned. I found a few stores would carry them and sometimes not. Once again, Amazon comes through. Thank You Amazon! I enjoy Taro chips alone as a snack and or with hummus, baba ghanoush, guacamole, and a variety of sour cream, yogurt and cream cheese dips. But as I said, alone is simply delicious!

These are one of my favorite chips. Salty, crispy and gluten free. Bought the bulk pack a while ago. When they arrived they all had only a one month expiry date from the date I purchased them. They were also a bit crushed. Very disappointing as they are an expensive item. Be aware that one can't return this purchase. I wrote to the supplier but never got a response !

These are amazing! Unfortunately they were dated too soon to be able to eat them all. My family could not eat all of the bags prior to the best by date. We still ate them and they weren’t bad but realize it’s too many for how quickly they need to be eaten. Better value for the money and taste great but buyer beware, eat them quick!
