5M Light Mahogany Chestnut - 1 X 150ml

Ive used Herbatint hair colour for 10 years since my cancer diagnosis when I found out I was allergic to many additives in many other branded products. Ammonia and paraben free makes this an excellent choice for me.

Packaging was damaged and dye was leaking when we opened the box. We got it replaced already but seems like the product got mishandled from the factory. The reason I say that is because the box was deformed but the plastic seal was tightly contoured to said deformed box.

This product rose to the occasion when I needed a hair dye that isn’t full of chemicals. However, please do be aware, It does contain a small number of chemicals but it is nothing compared to the ones sold in stores! The color was beautiful. It becomes gel like. I left the hair dye for about 45 mins. My hair came back to life. It was dull and needed an update. I was looking for a hair dye that was rich in color but that doesn’t damage the hair follicles. No ammonia at all! This did the trick!

I have dyed my hair for years, mostly "fun colors" (electric blue, bright purple, etc) so I knew my dyed color would not match the box, no problem. It is brown with auburn highlights (done over bright purple). But my hair is so dry it is breaking off, over 50 strands in the sink after washing it. I have short hair, at this rate I will not be dying it because there will not be any! Yesterday I washed it with Whole Blends coconut shampoo, used what was left of the conditioner from the dye (I have very short hair) and applied sweet almond oil to wet hair, massaged it in gently and left it for several hours, rinsed it with cool water. I washed it again with coconut shampoo and it is much softer, less breakage. I plan to use the almond oil every few days until my hair is back to normal, I will not use this dye again. If you use a hair dryer, use it on low and do not dry hair totally, when using a towel be gentle and just dry it so it is not dripping. I hope this helps others who run into this problem.

It's economical since I can just use what I need and keep the rest for future use. Smell is not strong (a big plus!) and gentle on my sensitive scalp

Have been using this product for years with highly satisfactory results and was dismayed to discover that some users have had allergic reactions to it. It stands as a graphic reminder that any new cosmetic product should always be tested before wholesale use. Sorry to hear that some few folks have had a bad experience, and very glad that my experience has been a good one.
