This is my favorite Havaldal candle. So much so I had a special candle stick made to hold it... however it will fit nicely and remain supported in a shot glass (yes I know what everyone is thinking right now) regardless.YES, this candle is hallow by design, I filled mine with bees wax to slow down the speed it burns, but really how long is your Havaldal ritual lasting? I used mine for at least a month before the inside became exposed.YES, it does have very large flame, which makes the Havaldal ritual very special.It is NOT a candle you should be using for any other purpose, such as Christmas dinner, try a nice single wick hand dipped candle for that. I have had no issues with this candle in anyway.

This is a beautiful all beeswax Havdalah candle. Lovely light scent. The braid is simply beautiful to look at. It is well made. Its wonderful that if not made in Israel at least its made in the USA (CO) and not imported.We love lighting it Saturday nights. It's flame is like a torch to heaven. Be careful where you light it, if you are to close to your drapes you may end up lighting them on fire also.We walk outside after lighting the candle to look out over our yard. We can see its reflection in the tree canopies. Its a wonderful way to see all that G-d has graced us with before we say our final prayers and bring an end to the Sabbath.

Very nice candle. Big flame, so it's not really intended as a dinner candle or just to light and leave. It's intended for Havdalah ceremony to end the Jewish Sabbath, and extinguished after saying a couple blessings. It's a Havdalah candle.They sent it early and that was very nice. They referred to themselves as the Gefen Judaica Team, but here on Amazon it looks like the store is called Ner Mitzvah so I hope this is the same as Gefen judaica.
