this stuff is great for sheet metal edges
It will protect the edge of cut sheet metal, it conforms to all but the tightest curves. If you cut the "teeth" out, it will even go around a 90 degree corner. Stays in place pretty well, I ran a bead of gorilla glue around the inside edge after it was installed, and that has prevented any movement whatsoever. so simple, yet so effective...this is a great product for what it's indended for!

Good product
I ordered this to put on the edge of some cut roofing material. It turned out to be too small. Good product but was to small for my application.

A Good Way to Reduce the Sharpness of a Fine Edge
This edging is a fairly easy way to apply an attractive edge to thin materials. It is effective at dulling sharper edges. The only caveat is that there is no adhesive with this edging. I used it around the bottom edge of a floor lamp base, and I lightly sanded the metal where it would be covered by the edging. Then, after the edging was in place, I secured it in several places with Bondic UV-setting clear plastic weld liquid. Now we don't have to worry about the lamp base scratching or cutting our floor coverings. Yes, I would recommend this edging, but be ready to use an adhesive in some applications.

Perfect for protecting cables and preventing electrical shorts
I use this at work to protect cables and hoses on industrial machinery. Particularly on cutouts in metal where the sharp edge could nick wiring insulation causing a short, or cut a hose line causing a leak. There's not always a right size grommet available and this product forms to any shape easily. I finally ordered some for a home project where I'm concealing cables through a steel tube. It was easy to cut to size and fit in the cutouts I made. It made pulling the cable easy without fear of damaging as well. As usual very reliable and easy to work with product.

Well made, soft enough to be easy to use even on some curves.
Well made. Fairly soft so not a super strong grip, but for places not rubbed a lot it is perfect. I bought 4 and did 4 metal cabinet door frame metal edges and most of a large tool box. Very easy to put on and cut - light wieght enough to be cut on the metal without scratching the paint.

Must Have It is the little details that set your install apart
I have used this product many times the installation is easy and the edge guard stays in place. Construction and durability and peace of mind that cables will not get cut or damaged and no more sharp edges for anyone working on the gear. Please keep in mind the thickness of the edge you are trying to protect.

Alligator grommet
If you bought this, you know what it's for. It is the real deal and works just like you'd expect.

Should help protect wire bundles through access holes in frames etc
I used this to line a hole in the roof of my Avion travel trailer where my 75 ohm coaxial passes through. I’ve worked at a major carrier for years, and always see this used in ribs where wire bundles pass through. The original hole was bare, the coax was sawed to the center conductor. So I shouldn’t have that issue again You can’t see the hole, but you can see the patch with the relief hammered into it so the cable is not pressed against the hole either. I also spiral wrapped the cable and everything was installed wet with SikaFlex.

This worked very well. Pleased with the purchase. The best thing is to put it on the edge before cutting it. I was protecting cables through a hole I punched in a cabinet and I fit the edging first - and then cut it a bit larger and cut it to fit when I installed it.
