Disappointed,,,
The media could not be loaded. It took me a while to decide what type of rims to get, the properties I was looking for, manufacturer and various size aspects.I decided to go with KMC XD series, the application is on a 2013 Ford F150 FX4. I was very anxious to get them on, because (even with all the research I've done) I didn't know if they would fit. I live in Saudi Arabia and shipped them through package forwarding services, so returns are not an option and expensive. The OEM wheels are 6.2" backspacing as well as these (officially 6.18"), now these being 9" wide as opposed to 8.5" OEM keeping the backspacing constant the offset was reduced from OEM 44mm to 30mm. So, the .5" goes towards the outside of the vehicle. Make sure that you go as near as OEM as possible, keeping backspacing constant. These wheels are made in china (isn't everything?), and are gravity cast. OEMs are usually low pressure cast minimum, that doesn't mean they aren't of good quality. The painting is good, however, near the "bead lock" look machining paint is not that clean. But no major issue. The caps are three allen bolt fixed, not all six are real,,, three are for looks, wonder how long they could last, because they actually rotate and are plastic and secured by melting the bottoms of the "bolts". My immediate thought, they could break off,,, I will secure an allent bolt and nut.Now one word of advice, these wheels do not include nuts (lug nuts). On my F150, the OEM wheel nuts did not fit. And I'm guessing most OEM nuts wont. Make sure to get proper sized nuts to install these, I was lucky to find them here in the local market. Finally, for you gals and guys wanting to know, installed these with LT315/70 R17 tires (now Yokohama AT-s) with a Rancho 2" Quicklift front level kit and rear RS9000XL. There is no rubbing at all and the ride is excellent. The odometer was off before and now is spot on.Eventually, long time down the road, will have to upgrade the wheels when I lift the truck (full suspension) you can't run 17" wheels due to steering knuckle size.**** 2018 December update: so I had these since the post of this review in 2014, my concerns were confirmed on the caps as one actually flew off,, and one was hanging by the last bolt. Not a big deal as replacements were easy to find online. However, the big problem is the quality of the casting. Noticing that the wheels were not maintaining the PSI, my fears we're confirmed. Similar to what happened to others, they cracked,,,, after a search on Google for the term "KMC XD cracked" case upon case of the same crack description came up, at the base of the wheel spokes. Pictures attached left and right wheels. The possibility of this type of critical malfunction was not even on mind, and I didn't even Google the term, but some posts are prior to my purchase....I'll just knock the stars down to 2 for quality,,, not even sure why not down to one star. Let's say 2 stars since they served 4 years.. A rim should never have such a critical malfunction,,, it is not a manufacturer flaw, but a quality and durability issue as they seem to not serve mid/long term.My driving is normal and it happened only on the front wheels, leading me to believe it is a steering stress crack. Can't trust the brand now,,, finding alternativesCheers
