Terrific Idea
This product is a real asset in the woodshop. Having the measurements on both sides of the tape makes measuring from the table saw blade to the proper distance easier than reading the tape upside down. Also, all fractions of the tape are imprinted making measurements easy and quick. It has a tape stop lever that works well and the price for this device is significantly cheaper than buying a tape from the Depot or Lowes. Also contains a pencil sharpener integrated into the body. A great find!

Amazing tape at a bargain
I’ve had them all, DEWALT, lurking, Milwaukee, craftsman, and on and on. None can beat this little guy for what it is. Easy to read, reliably works in tough conditions and packed with extra features. I am pretty tough on tapers and am constantly trying to find a better one.I’ve had this one for two major projects now and it is still performing well. I built a 600sqft floating deck with pressure treated lumber and am currently installing a 450, paver stone patio. In both cases the tape has been performing beautifully. Both environments have been dirty weather saw dust, crushed granite, or sand. This tape has been dropped from heights of 8’ and I’ve retracted the tape through PT wood saw dust and leveling sand. It still retracts like the day o bought it.As for the bonus features that I like the most, I’m always guessing at the actual measurements because I’m not the greatest at mental math and this tape labels each and every tick mark on the tape in both directions left and right. Talk about easy to read! I also love the writing surface in the side of the tape to write the measurements with pencil. There is even a pencil sharpener on the side. Thankfully I switching to a pica style long tip mechanical pencil so I can use the sharpener. Would not work for a carpenter pencil. Not that that matters since I also reach for my knife to sharpen those anyways. If I had a wish list, i with the foot markers were a little more bold or perhaps a different color. And I wish the buckle on the side was slightly bigger to make it easier to hook onto my tool belt clip.I would highly recommend this tape! I have bought tapes 4 times this price that kicked the bucket long before this little guy. For the price, I am going to buy a couple more to keep around for when I inevitably bust this one.

Easy to use daily and quickly
This is the best tape measure I’ve used in a long time. I don’t use it much for large/gross projects like hanging my gutters but in the shop, the accuracy, the smoothness of the action, and the ease of reading are the best I’ve seen.As with most stuff you use a lot, the small details are where it shines. The belt clip having a spring makes it so much easier to stick on a tool belt. I use a heavy, rigid tool belt and my other tape measures often take several attempts to clip on and stay. This one goes on easy the first time every time. The pencil sharpener is great too and the killer feature is the scratch pad right on the case. So handy.I love this thing and I’m probably going to buy another just in case.

Easy to use
Best tape measure in my toolbox. High quality, easy to read and the built-in note spot make this the perfect tape measure for Beginners and Experienced Tradesfolk and DIYer's.

Good beginner tape measure
Great for the price. Only problems I’ve had are the button stop on the bottom doesn’t always lock the tape. Also the belt clip does not hold well and constantly falls off when I’m moving around.

Pleasently surprised by the quality
I wanted a tape measure to replace my 'contractor' grade tape that didn't last for more than maybe 15 hours of use (that was twice as much as this one). I have been annoyed by always having to read measurements upside down (because, well, tape measure are marked left to right, but being right handed, I draw them out right to left so I can mark with my right hand). This one gives me options for reading it either way. The tape itself seems to be better quality, has dual marking with fractions, and has a place on the tape itself to write down things (like, measurements for cutting, or stud placements between headers and footers). Th elock works great, it has a break button on the bottom to slow retraction and even has a pencil sharperner on it. Well thought out and executed tape - if I break this one at some point, I will buy another one to replace it.

All around the best tape measure..
I'm loving all the subtle features that are just outstanding and stand-out - and for the same price as the other big names! I'm seriously going to be using this left/right for all tapes now.1) The body width is an exact 3", vs many with are 3-1/16" or 3-1/8". I spot checked it with a pair of calipers and it's within 1/32" of 3" exact. I'll call that good enough for trim work.2) the integrated pencil sharpener is awesome. I had moved to mechanical pencils because I didn't want to carry a sharpener, and the carpenter pencils were too large for accurate trim level measurements. I have used the pico pencils w/built in sharpeners, and still like them, but I appreciate the simplicity of a regular #2 pencil sharpener built in, and prefer those to the more expensive pico with their lead.3) the clip is actually spring loaded. Silly, but makes a very nice difference.4) It has a temporary stop/hold button on the bottom of the measure. This is super helpful for one-handed operation, vs having to catch the tape directly. Again, the former works, but this built-in button is genuinely better.5) rubberized exterior. It doesn't sound like it should matter, but it absolutely does. You get a better grip and it's more comfortable to hold/use.6) 1/16 measurements ON BOTH sides. Most tapes have gone to a 1/8 named measurement, but not gonna lie the 1/16 is just soo much nicer in the moment. And having the numbers printed in both directions is sooo nice. And it's on the white nylon backing, which the other nice brands are also doing now. Again, subtle things that add up to overall better.

can read numbers for the left or right
Nice tape measure. The ability to have right side up numbers on both sided of the tape is creative. The pencil sharpener that is built in is a nice feature. Strong return when releasing the lock is nice also.
