A perfect replacement for the retired cells in my old CE5 electric mower’s battery case.

Bought these back in spring 2023. Used this purchase for a do-it-yourself replacement for our Neuton mower battery, and it still works.

These work in our Neuton mower removable battery box. We previously bought the MightyMax batteries with the same specs, but the terminals on the MM are too long (and far from the edge of the battery) to allow the long front metal connectors to fit properly and allow the case to be closed properly.

This is a replacement for the last set of batteries I bought just 2 years ago. The price has increased 25% from what I paid at that time and they look identical. Still, it's a lot cheaper than buying a new lawn mower, which I was contemplating.Now that I've removed my old batteries, I see they are still fine, it is the charging port that is acting up. I can't figure out why the plug takes some jiggling to work. Even after a bit of solder, it still requires some jiggling of the plug to get the red charging light to come on.I really should just replace the mower at this point, but with two sets of good batteries, I have gone ahead and ordered a couple of battery tenders to keep both sets charged.BNIB and Just as described! Shipped in a good box with insulation. USPS tracking gave no indication of any shipping status until the day before delivery, but it was on time.

I ordered this in the first week of June; it is now the second week of September. For the first two and a half months, the performance was outstanding. I could mow the entirety of my quarter acre lot with my Neuton mower. In the second half of the third month, the performance began to diminish; and by September, the battery wouldn't last half of my lawn. Today, it lasted through about a quarter of my lawn.I actually have two Neuton batteries; the performance of these cells has dropped so far that I am going to have to replace these new cells rather than the years old ones in my spare battery. :-(In UpStart's favor, when the batteries arrived, one of the cases was cracked. I contacted them and they quickly shipped out a replacement. So kudos for good service, but these cells have unfortunately proven themselves to be a poor bargain.

So it was great to see it work right away. Then we did do a full charge. Works great. Now it's winter and no need to mow.
